Carriage return and backspace only MOVE the cursor; neither erases. Both of
my earlier approximations were wrong, and I checked each case against a real
terminal rather than reasoning about it:
`100%\rOK` shows `OK0%`, not `OK` — the redraw is shorter than the frame
beneath it, so the tail stands. `abc\b` still shows `abc`, not `ab` — a
trailing backspace has nothing to overwrite. `\x1b[31mgone\rkept` paints
`kept` RED, because a carriage return does not reset the graphic state, which
one of my own tests had asserted the opposite of.
Both now replay into a per-line column buffer with SGR state stamped per
column, as a terminal stores it per cell. That gives the partial-overwrite
case its real result too: red `bad`, three backspaces, then `ok` shows `okd`
with the `d` still red, since `ok` reached only two of the three cells.
The presenter description now also renders at every site. An expanded row
draws it itself — the collapsed summary is hidden while open, so otherwise
the description was visible only collapsed, the opposite of "above the card"
— and the details panel draws it above the card as well.
Three of my own tests encoded the wrong semantics and were corrected with
their behavior, and the emit loop's gap-filling arm was removed as
unreachable: `\r` and backspace only move left, so no column can be unwritten.
The pending question now owns exactly two surfaces: the redesigned
QuestionComposer takeover (footer pager, checkbox multi-select,
always-visible custom input, locale-injected bilingual chrome) collects
the answers, and a dedicated ask_user_question toolview row reports the
interaction outcome — waiting, N/M answered, cancelled (ASK_CANCELLED),
or interrupted with stopped semantics (ASK_ABORTED). PendingCard narrows
to approval waits only. Toolview leading icons and the hover chevron
unify on the tertiary label color, the checklist glyph matches the
14px figma extract, and dev-watch registers CSS modules so css-only
edits rebuild.
Four review findings. Two are defects the previous two rounds introduced,
which the existing tests did not catch:
A backspace erased raw bytes, so one landing after an SGR reset ate part of
the escape: `\x1b[31mabc\x1b[0m\b\bXY` left `\x1b[` and repainted the rest of
the line with whatever the remainder parsed as. Backspaces now resolve over
VISIBLE characters — a CSI sequence is one indivisible unit a backspace steps
over on its way to the last printed character, so the surviving text keeps
the color its run authored.
The cwd normalizer popped a UNC share root: `\\server\share` with a `..`
became `/server`, losing the separators too. A UNC path's server and share
are its root, and Windows cannot climb above a share, so they are split off
and the remainder collapses against that root.
The other two are gaps the earlier fixes left:
The render-site fallback row still passed the args-derived summary, so any
terminal-declaring tool without its own keyed row (`terminal_send`) lost the
contract's above-card description. It now prefers the description exactly as
BashRow does.
A settled call read `call?.cwd`, which cannot tell "the call omitted a cwd"
from "the paging window dropped the call head". The second case has no cwd
anywhere and the original call may have used an explicit workdir, so it now
draws a bare `$` instead of naming the session workspace.
A multi-line command repeated the cwd label on every prompt row, which
states something the view does not know: it carries ONE working directory —
where the call started — and a `cd` in the command moves later lines
elsewhere. `cd ~` then `ls` rendered both rows labelled with the session
workspace while `ls` actually listed the home directory.
The label now appears on the first row only, and later rows keep a bare `$`
so they still read as prompts. Same reasoning as the run-state dot: neither
a per-line directory nor a per-line exit status exists to report.
The built-bundle snapshot records the effect on fixture turn 60's two-line
command (`fixture echo done` becomes `$ echo done`).
Three review findings, each verified against the presentation contract:
The call view's `description` was dropped, so a presenter that authors one
(`terminal_send` declares `Terminal <id>`) lost the contract's above-card text
and the row fell back to an unrelated args-derived summary. It now rides the
same derivation and outranks that summary.
A relative workdir was concatenated but never normalized, while the bash
executor resolves it before running: with session cwd `/w/app` and workdir
`..` the command runs in `/w`, yet the card displayed the label `..`. The
resolved path now collapses `.`/`..` segments, drops a `..` that would climb
past a root the way a filesystem does, and keeps a Windows path's separators
since the value is only ever displayed.
`run_code` sub-dispatches carry no presenter views on the shipped wire —
`session.ts` folds `tool/code-dispatch(-start)` with null views and the host's
`viewFor` presents only top-level call/result events — so a nested bash call
cannot reach a terminal card. The existing test only passed by injecting views
that path cannot produce; it now says so, and a second arm pins the no-view
shape the wire actually delivers.
Restoring master's fixture also fixed the todo snapshot lane, which my earlier
merge had broken by dropping the projection support the todo dock reads. The
terminal sample turn moved ahead of the todo turn, because the standing plan
retires at the next `turn/start` and a turn appended after it emptied the dock.
The card props are now nested under `card` so a render site spreads exactly the
primitive's own surface, and the fixture reads each sample's authored exit
status instead of re-implementing the bash tool's `parseExitStatus`.
Review round on #758.
bash.run() only promises to resolve for nonzero exits, timeouts, and aborts,
and bash.resolve() can reject on policy grounds, so either could escape the
serial agent/step listener and abort the model turn — contradicting the
plugin's documented failed-query no-op contract. Contain both and log a
warning instead; the location is optional context.
The Agent Note claimed an unchanged location suppresses the query. It does
not: only the interval floor is checked before the query, while change
suppression compares state the query returned. Corrected in both languages
and re-recorded the i18n pairs.
Shared-surface conflicts resolve as unions: the fixture serves all four
projection keys (title/todos/permissions/goal) with both the /permission
and /goal command mirrors (the goal-fixture placeholder retires with
master), apps/cli carries both lines' dependency additions, and the README
Model Experience allowlist keeps both entries. The connection specs assert
the four-key baseline and the shifted approval/question replay indices;
the module graph regenerates over the merged dependency set.
Three ui-conversation spec conflicts resolve to master's SlotTestRuntime
rewrites. Adaptation to the new outward session face: ISession gains the
command verb (the composer chip and the /permission picker submit through
it), FixtureSession grows the matching fail-loud stub plus the
waitingApproval summary default, and the picker reads the projection
through projections.faceOf (the ProjectionsFace shape) instead of the
retired store getter.
Inherited sandbox and approval events were part of the constructor seed. Session.firstLiveSeq classifies every constructor event as replayed history, so telemetry adoption skipped these child-only creation facts even though no parent or prior process had exported them.
Capture the parent overrides at the same synchronous delegation boundary, but append the events during the child factory setup while the session is still unpublished. They remain ordered after fork history, persist with the first child batch, and retain last-event-wins behavior while landing on the live side of the telemetry boundary. This uses the existing setup and session append contracts instead of adding another seed category or telemetry special case.
Add regression coverage for exporting an unpublished suffix without re-exporting constructor history, assert the spawn and fork firstLiveSeq boundaries, and restore the public seed documentation to replay/fork history only.
- Regenerate the cordis/config catalogs, doc graphs, and module graph for
the four newly mounted plugins and the goal projection key.
- ui-goal README pair (Model Experience indirect + Known Limitations) with
its i18n record; sentence-allowlist entry for the indirect form.
- knip workspace entry for ui-goal (tsx test pattern).
- type-equiv manifest follows the seven host-coupled goal symbols to
domain.ts.
- The web-slash-command-dispatch note documents the dropped prompt
interception and leaves with it; the goal-bar note's code paths follow the
component into ui-goal (pairing re-recorded).
The implementation no longer stores inherited policy in SessionHeader or resolves a second baseline chain, but the feature, sandbox, and approval notes still described that machinery. Keeping those claims would make the smaller design look incomplete and invite reintroduction of the generic persistence surface.
Rewrite the owning feature note around the actual delegation snapshot: source-tagged policy events follow the optional fork prefix, ordinary last-event-wins folds establish precedence, and persistence captures the constructor seed with the first materialized batch. Condense the alternatives and consequences to the decisions and coverage that remain load-bearing.
Align the sandbox and approval notes plus the subagent-inprocess consumer README with that contract. Update the four Chinese counterparts minimally and re-record each pairing hash so both languages describe the same shipped mechanism.
Add @deepseek-ai/dsh-tmux-context: an opt-in per-turn context plugin that
reads which tmux session/window/pane this agent process runs in (plus the
window layout tree) via the ctx.bash seam, and injects it as one durable,
source-attributed user/message when the location changes.
- Pull on the first step of each turn; no tmux hook or background process.
- Detect a real pane by tty, not $TMUX_PANE alone: a terminal launched from
a tmux shell inherits $TMUX/$TMUX_PANE from that ancestor, so the command
also matches the pane's #{pane_tty} against this process's controlling
terminal and emits fields only on a match.
- No-op outside a real pane, without a bash executor, or on a malformed
reading.
- Own location and layout only: no pane sizes, no sibling-pane scraping.
- Unit tests at 100% per-file coverage, plus a keyless Loader e2e with a
mock bash provider so it replays without tmux.
- Agent Note: 2026-07-27-tmux-location-context.
39 conflicts resolved per the reattachment plan (missions worktree-projbiz
0728-1859): baseline wins for deleted packages (host/runtime, old ui/acp,
ui-sidebar Rows/tree) and retired specs; unions for wire-layer exports and
client summary fields; the approval takeover, waitingApprovals tracking, and
PendingApproval domain face carry over onto the master structure. The two
new host specs follow the runtime->apiproxy rename. Dead PR-side wiring
(ConversationInjected permissions/setPermission spread, InputBar controls
prop, boot.ts sandbox composition) resolves to master and its replacement
lands in follow-up commits.
Retarget the feature branch to the current master tip without rewriting its existing review history. Keeping this as a dedicated merge checkpoint makes the later simplification diff attributable to the stacked child rather than mixing base movement with design changes.
Resolve the identified-message API drift in the feature tests by constructing complete user messages, reading the nested tool-result message shape, and adapting the prompt-submit listener signature. Preserve both sides of the user-approval conflict: master’s createUserMessage wrapper and the feature’s inherited-policy attribution.
Regenerate the Cordis and persistence catalogs, re-record the session README pair, and refresh the affected ACP/headless fixtures so derived artifacts describe the merged source rather than either parent in isolation.
Validated with the focused policy/session/persistence/query suites (430 tests), focused ACP/headless snapshots (3 tests), build, doc-sync (25 gates), lint, hygiene, and git diff checks.
Conflict rulings follow the projection-reattach plan:
- host/runtime package (deleted on master): take master; the PR's boot
composition moves to the cordis.yml roster and its goals handlers will be
re-landed in dsh-host-apiproxy; the session.prompt slash interception and
its spec are dropped entirely (superseded by command.execute + command/run
logging).
- client core (rewritten on master): take master; the PR's Session goal
fields/methods, ConversationSnapshot.goal, goalActions injection, and the
hard-mounted GoalBar are all superseded by the 'goal' session projection
(useProjection) and will return as the ui-goal plugin.
- wire contract: union of master's workspace/command/skill domains and the
PR's goal domain, minus goal.get (the read side is the projection block +
session/projection frames; six mutation RPCs stay).
- GoalBar component and spec leave ui-conversation (they re-land in the new
ui-goal package); IconSparkle16 stays in ui-conversation chat.
- The web-slash-command-dispatch note documents the dropped interception and
is removed; the goal-bar note will be rewritten for the projection model.
- pnpm-lock.yaml taken from master (reinstall recomputes).
