Controls committed on blur, which turned leaving a field into a durable,
revision-fenced document write the user could neither preview nor undo, and
silently discarded a draft the field did not accept.
A card's form now owns the staged text every control renders, and Save is the
only point where drafts become writes. Reset stages the composed default the
same way; an invalid draft blocks the save with its reason instead of being
dropped; Discard drops the drafts; a collapsed card marks that it holds some.
The Host stays the only authority on whether a value was accepted, so the save
reads the section back and keeps the drafts of a save that did not land.
The Models editor card curated its pi-ai fields by what every route has,
so `displayName` and `api` — the two a hand-declared route names for
itself — were asked for at creation and then reachable only through
settings.yaml. The editor now renders both for a route the directory
reports as declared, from the same namespace schema the create card
reads. A catalog route gets neither: it defaults its name from its
catalog entry, and its models each carry their own protocol, so a
route-level one could only override all of them.
Clearing the name unsets it and the route falls back to its id, which is
what the field's placeholder shows; storing the empty string would be
refused by the adapter. A declared profile naming no protocol selects
nothing rather than reading as if it had picked the first choice.
The Provider ID stays fixed: it is the settings dict key, it is
referenced from `agent-default-model` and every logged request header,
and it is the stem of a credential reference the page can never read
back to move.

Moving the agent plane behind presets left two readers on the wrong side of
the host/agent line.
`dsh-token-meter` was disabled on the host and mounted inside each preset's
`compaction` realm, but its three projection units register into the
process-wide `sessionProjections` table. A unit registered from one preset
answers for every session, so whether a `minimal` session showed a context
meter depended on whether some other session had mounted `standard` since
boot, and a process that only ever ran `minimal` showed none. The meter takes
no configuration, keys every fold by Session, and registers no tool or prompt
section, so it returns to the host composition and leaves the presets'
`isolate` map; the realm and `compact-basic` stay, because what a preset
chooses is whether its agent compacts, not whether its tokens are counted.
Nothing named an agent that joined no preset. The join is a scope-parent link,
and without it the tools, prompt-section, and skill views resolve the empty
global layer: the agent publishes, the turn runs, and the model receives
nothing. `AgentPresets` now logs one warning per such agent while a roster is
configured, and the invariant companion fails outright — at
`system-prompt/assemble` rather than at publication, because an unjoined agent
is legal until it addresses a model and `recompose` binds exactly such an
agent. The warning stays advisory: a synchronous `agent/created` throw vetoes
publication, and the ACP bridge, SDK server, and headless bundle all create an
unjoined agent today.
Three limits are recorded rather than fixed: projection key presence is not a
per-session capability signal, a superseded standing generation is never
reclaimed, and a `cordis_mount` temporary plugin belongs to the composition
rather than the session that mounted it.

Machine-produced by `pnpm run rescope-vendor --apply` plus the regeneration it
prints: `pnpm install` for the lockfile, `pnpm run gen-third-party-notices`,
`verify-translation-pairing --write` for the touched bilingual pairs,
`gen-doc-graphs`, and one typert snapshot whose ids embed character offsets.
`pnpm run rescope-vendor --check` verifies the result.
Renames nine vendored packages (cordis, cosmokit, schemastery and the six
@cordisjs plugins) and every reference that resolves them: manifest names and
dependency keys, module specifiers including declare-module merges, cordis.yml
plugin names, tsconfig paths, every Markdown fence, and `docs/` prose.
Directory names, upstream versions, and dependency ranges are unchanged, so
vendor/README.md still reads as an upstream snapshot; its manifest table gains
an upstream-name column so THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES keeps MIT attribution pointed
at each fork's origin.
The tutorial tier follows the rename end to end: its yaml fences named plugins
the Loader can no longer resolve, its `ts ignore-check` fences disagreed with
the compiled fences beside them, and its prose quoted both. The contracts that
told readers to keep upstream names — the root convention and the vendoring
cookbook's tree comment and manifest invariant — now say to rescope instead.
Two rules read `@deepseek-ai/` as "another workspace plugin": the client bundle
purity gate now names the vendored libraries a browser bundle inlines, and the
files where a bare `cordis` is an agent-preset id keep that product data.
Two sites reached a registry for the vendored framework, which the rescope
turns from a silent second copy into a hard failure.
Live-link mode relinked only the root manifest, so a generated workspace member
— `plugins/*/package.json` — resolved its own dependencies from the registry
and installed upstream cordis beside this repository's vendored copy.
`LinkWorkspace.relinkNestedManifest()` relinks every nested generated manifest;
`peerDependencies` keeps its range because package managers reject a link spec
there.
The sandbox publish-path rehearsal installs this repository's vendored cordis
and cosmokit tarballs instead of naming a registry version.
Three things the page got wrong.
The web-search provider's defaults lived only at their use site, so the
served section carried no value for them and the card fell back to a zero it
invented — a number the schema itself rejects. Declaring them on the schema
makes the settings service the one authority: `maxUses` now reads 5 because
that is what the Host resolves, not because the page guessed. `baseURL` keeps
its code-side default, which exists so `$DEEPSEEK_SEARCH_BASE_URL` can win.
A field the Host serves no value for now renders empty rather than as zero.
The cards were rows in a settings page of cards: name and description ran
together on one line because the shared disclosure row lays them side by side.
Each card now draws its own header, stacking the two, and the section follows
the idiom the Agent Preset page established.
A restriction was compiled against the global tool layer alone: only
global-layer tools were tested against `admits()`, and every chain-layer
tool was overlaid unfiltered afterward. That read the exempt set as "the
global layer" when what it means is "what this scope registers itself" —
two descriptions of the same set only while every model-facing tool sat in
the host composition.
Moving those rows onto the agent plane separated them. A preset's tools are
an ANCESTOR contribution to a joined agent, so a subagent's `toolFilter`
stopped constraining anything it was given; and with the global layer empty
`restrict()` rejected every name it received as unknown, failing the child
outright. With the same tools in the global layer the filter still admits
and applies normally, which is what makes this a regression of the move
rather than a standing limitation.
`view()` now filters everything a scope inherits — the global layer and
every ancestor layer on its chain — and exempts only the layer the scope
owns. That exemption is load-bearing rather than incidental: the delegation
runtime registers a child's `report` and structured-output tools into the
child's own layer, and a filter naming the capabilities the child may use
must not strip the machinery it answers through. Tool order, and with it
prefix-cache reuse, is unchanged: inherited names keep their global-then-
ancestor position and own-layer names still come last.
The diagnostic said "unknown global tool" while listing what is really the
inherited surface; it now names the surface it checks and says why an
own-layer name is not restrictable.
