`command.execute` no longer exists on the API Proxy, and the fake's own
handler went with it, so the case only reached a 404 body. The same carrier
behaviour is asserted on live routes by its `session.search`,
`subagent.prompt` and `host.pickDirectory` siblings.
`CommandService.list` and `execute` carry the wire contract directly through
`@Remote`, and the Client assembly mounts the generated commands
contribution. The legacy API Proxy route, its schemas, the map rows, the
generated client methods and the fixture's command domain are removed, so the
catalog and the admission call have one owner again.
`Session.command()` keeps a result-shaped public face for parity with the
prompt, cancel and attachment neighbours it sits beside, and reads the
generated namespace through one `SessionRemotes` parameter. The Session
cluster declares that face against the owning business package rather than the
generated contribution: the Host compiler aggregate builds this package, and
it runs before any contribution is emitted.
Migrated calls lose the `title-invalid` class of protocol-only error codes and
report `internal`; no production caller branched on them.
Streams one ZIP of the root session artifact plus each subagent descendant
verbatim (the persistence readRaw bytes) from GET /api/session.export as a
host-only download — no wire envelope, absent from IApiClient. The downloads
domain owns the query schema, the fetch handler answers the GET alongside the
SSE routes, and compression runs on the host with fflate's streaming Zip API.
The web YAML editor is gone. agentPreset.write (arbitrary composition
text) became agentPreset.copy { from, agentPreset, name? }: a host-side
whole-directory copy of ids the host resolves itself — symlinks
dereferenced, modes re-tightened to owner-only with owner-execute kept,
metadata rewritten to keep the source's description but never its name or
roster order. No composition text or path crosses the wire in either
authoring direction, and the entryListSchema/!!js concern dissolves with
assertComposition itself.
The settings section becomes: a read-only viewer over shipped
compositions, a copy dialog (id + optional display name) as the only
create entry, delete for custom rows, and a location action leading into
the preset's own files — agentPreset.openDocument { agentPreset } resolves
the directory host-side and opens it natively, or answers
{ opened: false, path } for the row to show as text where the deployment
has no desktop. agentPreset.list reports hasDocument beside authorable;
the gateway's nativeOpen config pins the capability where
canOpenNativePath platform detection would mislead. The privileged set is
now read/copy/openDocument/remove.
With files as the only composition editor, standing mounts grew
stamp-keyed generations: ensureStanding compares the composition file's
mtime+size and starts the next generation for later sessions, while every
joined session keeps the generation it runs on.
New keyless web lane (agent-preset-authoring, overlay pins
nativeOpen: false so goldens render one branch on every platform) drives
view/copy/reveal/delete end to end; the real-composition CLI e2e switches
to copy semantics.
ctx.subagents.interrupt() stops one live continuable child's current turn
via Agent.cancel(cause, { keepInbox: true }) under either a human durable
parent address or an exact live ancestor Agent. Fire-and-return: admission
is synchronous, quiescence is not awaited. Pending inbox work, the
Activation, and published descendants are preserved; only a later waking
send resumes the parked FIFO queue. Absent, one-shot, and disposing
targets are accepted no-ops.
The new Host RPC subagent.interrupt calls only that primitive with user
authority — no catalog, history, persistence, or parent-registry lookup —
so a live child stays stoppable while its parent Agent is offline.

The composer's preset seat stays removed here — this layer moved it to the
hero chip and the session-header action — so only the model seat takes the
`modelSeatLocked` narrowing master introduced.

The Client API carrier's `agentPresets` member was the one member of its class
without an `IApiClient[...]` annotation. Inferring it inlined `AgentPresetEntry`
into the emitted declaration by the specifier TS picks — the host `index.ts` —
dragging the whole gateway, and with it the host `Context` merges, into every
Client program importing the carrier. Annotated like its siblings.
`ApiRemoteAgentOptions.setup` now takes the inspected session rather than its
header alone: this layer resolves a resumed session's preset from the LOG,
because a session that switched while blank ran its turns under the newer
composition and the header is written once at creation.

Invocation is an ordinary session.prompt again: the pre-step gesture
boundary makes it deterministic host-side for every front end, so the
dedicated RPC (handler, wire schema, error codes, client face, fixtures)
and ui-skill's claim machinery are net deletions. The menu keeps decision
21 exactly — a pick lands literal /name text — plus the user-only marker
from skill.list's modelInvocable flag.
skill.list now serves every user-invocable skill and carries modelInvocable
so menus can mark user-only entries; the old model-and-user intersection
hid disable-model-invocation skills from their only legitimate entry point
(issue #1470). skill.invoke enforces user-invocation policy at the host
boundary, renders the canonical <skill_content> body, and injects it as a
user-role message carrying the skill-invocation source before starting a
turn. The connection fixture mirrors both faces for client tests.
A default naming a route the Models page has since removed left the
composer saying 选择模型 while the input still accepted a message, which
then failed inside the adapter mid-turn.
`session.prompt` now refuses with `model-unavailable` before opening a
turn. That is the enforcement boundary: the method stays callable no
matter what a client disables. `session.models` reports the same fact as
`routable`, and ui-model pushes a block through the new
`ctx.conversation.blocks` registry so the bar renders the disabled
textarea it already renders without a workspace, carrying the blocker's
own reason. The push direction is forced — ui-model already depends on
ui-conversation, so ui-conversation cannot read it back.
The gate is `routable`, not "matches no advertised group": catalog
membership is advisory, so a route serving a model it stopped advertising
is missing from the groups yet perfectly usable, and `null` before the
first load never blocks so a slow Host cannot lock a working composer.
The scaffold gains a route-only adapter for fixture-less keyless
scenarios. Registering zero providers is a test artifact — every product
composition mounts one — and the goldens that froze the seat's fallback
label now show the model those scenarios actually route to.
`core-web` said neither of the things that matter about it. The `-web`
suffix is a leftover from the whole-process `core-web.cordis.yml` overlay,
and presets are per-session and not web-specific. `core` reads as "the
foundational one" when it is in fact the one with the fewest capabilities.
`minimal` says what it is and orders the shipped set legibly by capability:
minimal, standard, cordis.
Breaking: a session created under `core-web` records that id in its header
and will fail to resolve it on resume. Nothing outside this repository has
shipped, so no migration path is offered.
The identically named `config/core-web.cordis.yml` — the legacy
whole-process overlay behind the web snapshot test — is a different thing
and keeps its name.
The domain's five registrations were unexercised on both halves of the
carrier, so a method missing from `handler.ts` or `client.ts` would have
surfaced in the browser rather than here. `read`/`write`/`remove` widened
the gap; this closes it for the whole domain.
A composition is a file, but "edit it on the filesystem" is not a browser
affordance. The roster gains `read`/`write`/`remove` beside `select`, and
the browser gains a settings section over them: the presets as rows, one
composition open in a YAML editor at a time, and per-row default, duplicate,
and delete.
All four authoring methods are loopback-pinned. A composition names the
plugins a session runs, so reading one is reconnaissance, writing one is
arbitrary capability, and selecting one can move a session onto a preset
that edits the live runtime. `agentPreset.list` deliberately stays ordinary
and now reports `authorable`, so a surface knows whether creating is
possible at all rather than offering a button whose save always fails.
Authoring starts by duplicating: a shipped preset opens read-only because
the deployment's copy is what a broken local one is compared against. Ids
are contained before they become directory names, and the text is parsed
with the loader's own schema, so a save cannot leave a file no session
could load.
Fixes a defect the real-composition test found: a preset written under the
user's home could never mount, because the loader resolves a row against the
composition's own directory and Node's `node_modules` walk from there never
reaches the installed harness. The mount now records the host base and sends
bare specifiers there, leaving relative paths resolving from the preset.
Also closes the coverage the earlier surfaces in this stack shipped without —
the General row, the composer seat, and the plugin halves now have tests.
`agentPreset.select` recomposes one session's agent from a different preset.
It is allowed only while the session is blank — once a turn has run, that
history was produced under the preset's tools and swapping them would strand
logged tool calls, so the attempt answers `agent-preset-locked`.
The agent and the session survive; only the preset subtree is swapped. That
was forced by what the host actually owns: api-proxy discards the `AgentHandle`
it creates, and there is no delete RPC, so neither disposing nor recreating the
session was available. Swapping the subtree is also the better answer — the
session id, its workspace attachment, and its projections all stay put.
`recompose` is unmount-then-mount because two compositions cannot coexist: both
would register the same tool names into one layer. So it resolves the new
preset BEFORE tearing anything down (an unknown id is a no-op) and restores
the previous composition when the new one fails to mount, rather than leaving
the agent with no tools at all. Both paths are pinned by test.
Also restores the English half of the `agentPreset.list` README paragraph,
which was lost before the previous commit — and `verify-translation-pairing
--write` recorded the pair as consistent anyway, because it records whatever
state it finds rather than checking the two sides say the same thing.
`agentPreset.list` gives a browser the deployment's roster so it can offer a
choice when starting a session. Each row carries the id, its `trust`, and
whether it is the current default.
`trust` is on the wire deliberately: a `user` preset is exactly as privileged
as the plugins it names, so a surface that offers one alongside a shipped
preset can say which is which rather than presenting both as vetted.
The domain is read-only. A preset is a composition on disk, so authoring one
is a filesystem act rather than an RPC; and a deployment composing no presets
answers with an empty roster rather than an error, because sharing the host
composition is a valid deployment.
The RPC map made every registration site a type error, so the route, the
response-schema table, the service delegate, and the browser fixture are all
wired rather than only the ones I remembered.
Once a pi-ai route became a declaration rather than a catalog lookup,
adding an OpenAI-compatible gateway meant knowing its model ids up
front. Most such endpoints publish that list at `GET /models`, but no
seam operation could ask: every one is keyed by a registered provider
route, and the provider being added has no route, no stored profile,
and no stored credential — the endpoint and key are values in a form.
Interrogation is therefore keyed by settings namespace, which a
configuration surface already holds from the configurable-provider
directory. `registerModelDiscovery` offers it per namespace,
`discoverModels` asks, and the request carries the draft itself. The
reply is candidates, not a catalog: every field but the id is optional
because most listings disclose nothing else, and adopting one is a
settings write like any other. Nothing here reads or writes settings or
credentials, so `settings.yaml` still decides what a route serves.
`llm.discoverModels` carries the same draft over the wire. Its apiKey is
the third and last payload a secret may ride, and it is never stored,
logged, or echoed; every refusal folds into `model-discovery-failed`,
naming the endpoint asked but never the credential offered.
The pi-ai side is a plain GET for OpenAI-compatible protocols only —
their listing shape is the one gateways, self-hosted servers, and the
official endpoints agree on. Others say so, sending the user to
hand-entry rather than reporting a guessed shape as an empty provider.
The reply is read under a four-megabyte ceiling held on the bytes
actually received, because the endpoint is a URL the user typed.
workspace.archiveSession answers the full updated archive set;
workspace.list carries the set as the reconnect baseline; the host
stream pushes host/archived-sessions-changed full snapshots from the
domain/changed global-put branch (same posture as workspace-changed).
Unknown sessions map to the existing session-not-found code.
363db89ba removed the client-side modality gate and the tests that fed
host.describe a scripted activeModel, but left the fakeApi override
field, its ResponseValue import, and the ?? fallback behind. Nothing
passes hostDescription, so the left arm was unreachable.
Five findings from the #939 review, each reproduced before being fixed.
**Configuration reads are as privileged as writes.** `settings.describe`
returns every exposed namespace's configuration and `credentials.describe`
reports whether an arbitrary environment-variable name is configured and from
where — reconnaissance no anonymous caller should have. Both join
PRIVILEGED_METHODS, so the whole configuration plane is loopback-only until
real authentication exists; `trustedHosts` was never authentication. The model
catalog stays reachable: it carries no endpoints or key state, and a LAN
client's model picker legitimately needs it. Asserted over a real HTTP server,
because the Host header a browser actually sends is what decides this.
**The proxy serves only namespaces a registered model provider addresses.**
The settings seam is general — any plugin may register one — but the Web
configuration plane is the model-provider surface. Without the gate, every
future `settings.register()` would silently become remotely readable and
writable configuration. An unregistered namespace and an unexposed one answer
identically, so no caller can enumerate the registry one probe at a time.
**Path-addressed writes replace the redacted-document rebuild.** The editor
reads the REDACTED descriptor, so rebuilding a section from it and replacing
wholesale deleted every literal secret the wire never returned — reproduced as
`{baseURL, reasoning}` in, stored `apiKey` gone out. `settings.mutate` applies
set/unset ops to the section as it stands at the front of the seam's write
queue, and the client names only fields it can see, so an unseen secret is
untouched by construction rather than by care.
P2s in the same pass: `llm/adapters-updated` now contains async listener
rejections (an uncontained one escaped as unhandledRejection, contradicting
the documented "observer failures are contained"); llm-deepseek's retry-policy
swap uses the atomic `registration.replace` instead of dispose-then-register,
which published `[]` then `["deepseek-official"]` so an observer saw the
provider disappear and come back; and a transport rejection no longer strands
the page in `loading` or a card in `busy`, with removal failures surfaced on
the page banner instead of swallowed.
Conflict resolutions:
- `session.list`: master's projection columns fold into the PR's cancellable,
batched `listVisibleSessionSummaries`, which `session.search` shares as its
visibility baseline; master's goal helpers stay beside it.
- Client sessions face: master narrowed `ctx.sessions` to `ISessions`, so the
search verb and its protocol-constant bound are declared there and the
test-runtime double implements them (recorded, empty page unless a scenario
stubs hits).
- `WorkspaceBrowser`: master's per-row Rename wiring rides the PR's search
results view; the tree keeps the PR's query-free derivations.
- `dsh web` bin: the PR's shutdown-handlers-before-readiness order with
master's boot-time LAN address snapshot.
- `session-query-sqlite`: master's `SCHEMA_VERSION` 7 stands; the PR's bump
carried no schema change.
- Specs: master wraps assistant/steering message payloads and requires an
`application/json` carrier request, so the search fixtures and tests follow.
- Web aria goldens keep master's recording plus the PR's search placeholder;
the navigation-panes inventory keeps master's terminal-card golden next to
the PR's search-results golden.
