> The Node-native launch vector is superseded by [dsh source launch through the tsx ESM hook](2026-07-29-dsh-source-launch-tsx-esm.md): Node 26.0.0 removed `--experimental-transform-types`, and the paths loader described here is deleted. The Cordis-config declaration gate (`verify-cordis-config`), the app-boot fail-loud plugin diagnostic, and the vendored `import type` marks remain current.
## Problem
The `dsh` source entry point originally used `tsx` to run `apps/cli/src/bin.ts`, with the same third-party loader implicitly handling both TypeScript transformation and the root tsconfig's `paths` resolution. With Node handling TypeScript natively, it does not apply tsconfig path mappings; resolving through package exports would instead mix potentially stale or nonexistent `lib/` artifacts into the source launch.
Node's transform also does not perform type analysis. A type imported through an ordinary value import remains a runtime ESM request, and TypeScript's `export =` becomes a CommonJS assignment rather than an ESM default export. The source graph therefore has to use explicit type-only imports and native ESM exports; a resolve hook cannot repair incompatible source syntax.
Cordis configuration introduces a separate resolution boundary. Bare plugins in `cordis.yml` do not pass through TypeScript import analysis, so their resolver manifest may omit the required dependencies. The Cordis Loader logs plugin import errors and leaves an entry without a fiber, but does not fail startup itself; a typo in the configuration can therefore produce an incomplete application with exit code 0.
## Decision
The `dsh` TUI, Web, and headless source launches use `node --experimental-transform-types`; Node performs TypeScript transformation without loading `tsx` or esbuild. `bin/dsh`, the root-level `dsh`/TUI/Web demos, and Code Mode TUI enter the same `apps/cli/src/bin.ts` launch chain. Test and E2E launchers retain their existing strategies, and the built `lib/bin.js` continues to run under ordinary Node.
`scripts/tspath-loader.ts` registers only a module resolve hook. It uses `TSX_TSCONFIG_PATH` when set (resolving relative values from the invoking cwd) and otherwise reads the root `tsconfig.json`; `TsconfigPathsResolver` follows that config's `extends` chain through the repository's existing TypeScript development tool, selects exact or wildcard `paths` entries according to tsconfig rules, and maps matching workspace bare specifiers to `.ts`/`.mts`/`.cts` source files or directory index files. Node remains solely responsible for code transformation. The source-only loader is not part of the built CLI and `apps/cli` does not declare `typescript` as a runtime dependency.
Source imports are redirected only when the target package is either the nearest package manifest's own name or one of that manifest's declared runtime dependencies. The Cordis Loader uses the configuration directory URL as the import parent; the resolver then searches upward for the workspace manifest that declares the plugin, so dependency ownership for the shipped `apps/cli/config/base.cordis.yml` plus its surface overlay lies with `apps/cli/package.json`. Specifiers that do not match tsconfig paths, refer to undeclared dependencies, or are not bare all fall back to Node's default resolution.
`verify-cordis-config` performs a one-way completeness check on the resolver manifest: every bare plugin package in a configuration must appear in the corresponding manifest's `dependencies`, while the manifest may contain extra dependencies not referenced by that configuration. The root `AGENTS.md` makes updating the configuration and dependencies together a standing rule.
After the Loader settles, the shared `dsh-app-boot` checks every enabled entry that has no fiber and rejects startup with `plugin(s) failed to load: ...; Cordis startup failed because these plugin(s) could not be resolved`, listing all failed plugins. This diagnostic lives at the app layer and does not change the vendored Loader's startup behavior.
Node-compatible TypeScript is part of this source-launch contract. Vendored Cordis, Loader, Include, HMR, and Schemastery mark erased imports with `import type`. Schemastery uses a native ESM default export and declares `type: module`; its `.mjs` and `.cjs` build outputs retain the existing ESM-default and callable-`require()` behavior. These divergences are recorded in `vendor/README.md`; no runtime behavior is added to the vendored frameworks.
## Alternatives considered
**Continue using `tsx`.** Rejected because `tsx`/esbuild would continue to own TypeScript transformation, so this launch chain could not prove that Node's native transformation works.
**Load the built `lib/` through package exports from the source entry point.** Rejected because this would mix the source plane with the artifact plane; a zero-build development launch could read stale artifacts or fail outright.
**Apply the root tsconfig `paths` unconditionally.** Rejected because this would allow undeclared cross-package imports and Cordis plugins to keep resolving, hiding mismatches between the manifest and the actual runtime graph.
**Transform imports inside the custom loader.** Rejected because type-aware source rewriting would reintroduce a compiler-style transform and make the loader, rather than Node, responsible for TypeScript execution. Making the checked-in source Node-compatible keeps the launch boundary explicit.
## Consequences
- TUI/headless retain a zero-build source loop, while Web still builds its frontend artifacts before starting the CLI source entry. TypeScript syntax passes only through Node's native transform; the URL-only loader uses the checkout's root development dependencies and adds no CLI runtime dependency.
- Workspace package imports and Cordis configuration dependencies must both be declared explicitly in the resolver manifest; the static gate prevents configuration from landing before its dependencies, while extra dependencies are not errors.
- Plugin import failures no longer leave an incomplete application with exit code 0; the final error identifies both the Cordis startup failure and the specific plugin names, while the Loader's original error remains earlier in the logs.
- Vendored source in the CLI graph must remain compatible with Node's transform-types module semantics; the local-modification log makes the upstream sync obligation explicit.
- CI's `lib` mode, test/E2E launchers, and other example launchers retain their existing strategies; this native source loader covers only the `dsh` CLI application chain.

`scripts/tspath-loader.ts` 只注册一个模块解析钩子。
因此,已交付的 `apps/cli/config/base.cordis.yml` 及其界面覆盖层所需依赖由 `apps/cli/package.json` 持有。
Loader 完全停稳后,共享的 `dsh-app-boot` 会检查每个已启用但没有 fiber 的 entry,并拒绝启动,报错为 `plugin(s) failed to load: ...; Cordis startup failed because these plugin(s) could not be resolved`,同时列出全部加载失败的插件。

# Agent Note: Question-composer option rows are scroll content, not the slack absorber

## Problem
The question composer card is capped against the viewport (`max-height: min(60vh, 520px)`) and scrolls its option list, so the header and the footer actions stay reachable on long question batches. When the composer seat got short — a small window, or a short viewport with the details panel open — the option rows rendered on top of each other and on top of the question title.
The cap was not the defect; the distribution of the shortfall was. `.options` is a `flex-direction: column` box whose children default to `flex-shrink: 1`, so under-allocation shrank the rows first instead of overflowing the scroll container. A row shrank to its `min-height: 42px` while `.optionCopy` kept the taller intrinsic height its wrapped copy needs (two lines for an option with a description). With `align-items: center`, the copy is then centered on a box shorter than itself and paints outside the row's border box in both directions — over the title above and the next row below. Measured on the shipped client at 900x440: 6.5px of copy outside the row box, growing to 10px at 380px tall, while `.options` reported `scrollHeight === clientHeight` and therefore never offered a scrollbar.
Only rows whose copy wraps can reproduce it. A row whose copy fits on one line has slack between its content and its 42px minimum, so shrinking it stays invisible — which is why the pre-existing e2e fixture (options `Blue`/`Green`, no descriptions) rendered correctly at every size.
## Decision
`.option` and `.custom` declare `flex-shrink: 0`.
The rows are the scroll content of a capped card; the card's overflow belongs to `.options`, which already owns `overflow-y: auto` and `min-height: 0`. Pinning the children makes the shortfall reach that scroll container instead of being absorbed by the rows, which is the behavior the cap was designed for. The alternative — letting rows shrink but keeping the copy inside them — would require clipping or ellipsizing option descriptions at exactly the sizes where the user most needs to read them.
`.header` and `.footer` already carried `flex-shrink: 0` for the same reason at the card level; the option list's children were the missing half of that rule.
## Alternatives considered
**Clip or ellipsize the copy inside a shrunk row (`overflow: hidden` on `.option`).** This removes the overlap with one declaration and no layout rethink. Rejected because it trades a visible defect for a silent one: the row keeps its 42px, and the second line of an option description simply disappears at exactly the sizes where the card is tightest. The description is decision-relevant content, not decoration.
**Drop `align-items: center` for `align-items: flex-start`.** The copy would grow downward only, so it would no longer paint over the title above. It does not fix anything: a shrunk row still overflows onto the row below, and the fix would silently change the vertical alignment of every option row at every size, including the common one.
**Remove the card's `max-height` cap so nothing is ever squeezed.** No shortfall means no distribution problem. Rejected because the cap is what keeps the header and the footer actions on screen for a long question batch; removing it reintroduces the failure the cap exists to prevent (the composer seat is a fixed-height conversation column with `overflow: hidden`, so an uncapped card loses its own submit button instead).
**Cap the wrapped copy at one line (`white-space: nowrap` plus ellipsis on `.description`).** Rows would never wrap, so they could never overflow when shrunk. Rejected for the same reason as clipping, plus it degrades the wide-viewport rendering — where there is ample room — to fix a narrow-viewport defect.
## Consequences
- A squeezed composer scrolls its option list instead of overlapping it: at 900x380 the list reports `scrollHeight` 200 against `clientHeight` 114 and offers a scrollbar, where before it reported them equal and offered none.
- Option rows keep their full wrapped copy at every viewport size. Nothing is clipped or ellipsized, and the wide-viewport rendering is unchanged (the rule only takes effect when the flex box is under-allocated).
- The card now reaches its scroll state sooner, since the shortfall is no longer partly absorbed by the rows. That is the intended behavior of the cap, and it means a short seat shows a scrollbar in cases that previously showed a silently mis-painted list.
- The scenario's recorded question is longer than it needs to be for the round trip it primarily tests. That cost is deliberate: the layout invariant is unfalsifiable without wrapping copy, and a second fixture for one CSS rule would be worse.
## Verification
The web e2e composer scenario asserts the invariant on the live composer at three squeezed seat heights (900x520 / 440 / 380): every option row's children stay inside the row's border box. Two guards keep the assertion from holding vacuously — at least one row must be wrapped (the only shape that overflows) and `.options` must actually be scrolling (proof the seat is genuinely capped). The scenario's recorded question now carries long option descriptions for exactly that reason; without wrapping copy the assertion cannot fail.
Confirmed both directions against the built client: with `flex-shrink: 0` reverted the scenario fails (`scrolls: false`, 6.5px spill), and with it restored it passes. A standalone geometry sweep over 340 viewport sizes (420-1600 x 320-960) went from 86 sizes with copy outside a row box to zero.
The assertion is replay-only: record mode must reach the fixture write rather than aborting on layout. Note that the composer ships as a client-module bundle, so `pnpm run build:web` alone does not pick up a change to `QuestionComposer.module.css` — the package build must run for the browser lane to see it.
Reproducing the shortfall requires a short viewport, not a short container. The cap is `min(60vh, 520px)`, so shrinking the conversation column below the card's own height clips the card without under-allocating it — the rows keep their full height and nothing spills. Anything demonstrating or measuring this defect outside the e2e scenario has to change the viewport.
A stale `lib/` makes the browser lane assert against an older client than the tree, and a `pnpm run build` that fails part-way leaves exactly that: the packages built before the failure are current, the rest are not. Refreshing a golden in that state records the older client's surface. Confirm the build exited zero before capturing, and note that untracked directories under `packages/` are compiled too — a leftover from another branch can fail the build for reasons the diff does not explain.

## Problem
A design review of the web GUI's conversation surfaces found a batch of presentation defects: portal menus painted one frame at the wrong position before repositioning (visible open jump), the chat column split one tool run into several groups whenever a step message carried only tool-call heads, tool row summaries printed workspace-absolute paths that consumed most of the row, the running-row sweep was implemented as an alpha mask that dimmed the whole row, the hero workspace chip resurrected a deleted workspace's folder name from the session cwd, and the header showed a turns counter nobody asked for next to a 13px title.
## Decision
The sweep lands as presentation-layer changes only; nothing enters the session log.
- **Portal menus pre-render hidden and measure before paint.** The menu list mounts with `visibility: hidden` at (0,0), measures in `useLayoutEffect`, and becomes visible already at its final position. Menus keep 12px viewport clearance with internal scroll; workspace create actions pin in a non-scrolling footer.
- **The chat flow skips assistant nodes that render nothing.** A finalized assistant node whose blocks are only tool-call heads and blank text/reasoning is dropped from the flow derivation, so consecutive tool results merge into one group. Interrupted nodes always render (they carry the 已停止 marker).
- **Tool row summaries relativize workspace-rooted paths.** The session cwd threads through the toolview slot contract (`ToolRowOwnerProps.cwd`) and `toolRowModel` strips it from summaries that start with it; paths outside the workspace stay verbatim. Display-only — args and the log are untouched.
- **The running sweep is a glare-band overlay.** A fixed-width `::after` gradient band animates across the row (the deepsuite ShimmerText pattern), replacing the previous `mask-image` approach, in both ToolRow and the Bash toolview.
- **The hero workspace chip is a selector, not an echo.** With no live selection (cold start, or the workspace was deleted after the list settled) it shows a "Choose workspace" placeholder; the cwd-derived name only bridges the initial list load, and stale pending picks clear when their workspace leaves a ready list.
- **One 16px vertical rhythm.** The chat column gap and in-group tool-row gap are both 16px, replacing the 10px in-group gap plus a negative cross-group margin.
- **Header title reads 14/20 with no turns counter**; StateDot ongoing and the turn tail use a stepped pixel-chase loading language; `body` gets grayscale antialiasing (`-webkit-font-smoothing` and the Firefox macOS equivalent).
## Alternatives considered
- **Position menus synchronously from anchor rects before mount.** Rejected: the list's own size is unknown until it lays out, so clamping to the viewport still needs a post-layout measure; measuring a hidden mounted node is the pattern React and Floating UI document.
- **Filter empty assistant messages host-side.** Rejected: the node is real model output that Trajectory and replay must keep; only the chat presentation should skip it, and the web layer is pure presentation by contract.
- **Relativize paths in each tool's presenter.** Rejected: the redundancy is shared by every path-summarizing tool; one display-only pass in `toolRowModel` covers them all and non-chat consumers keep absolute paths.
- **Keep the mask-based sweep.** Rejected: the mask dims the entire row content including state dots, and its exit transition fought the hover icon crossfade; an overlay band composites above the content without touching its alpha.
- **Keep showing the deleted workspace's name in the chip.** Rejected: the chip is the selector for the *next* session; echoing a cwd whose workspace the user just deleted misrepresents the current pick.
## Consequences
Chat renders fewer flow items than the snapshot has nodes: anyone counting rendered blocks against nodes must account for skipped render-nothing assistants (the chat-view spec pins this). The path relativization is a prefix check against the session cwd, so a workspace rename mid-session shows absolute paths until the summary re-derives — accepted as display-only staleness. The uniform 16px rhythm retires the tighter 10px tool-run look; a future denser layout would reintroduce a second constant deliberately. The menu pre-render adds one hidden layout pass per open, negligible at menu sizes.
## Testing
`chat-view.spec.tsx` pins the render-nothing grouping (including the interrupted exception); `chat-tool-row.spec.tsx` pins cwd relativization inside/outside the workspace and with an empty cwd; `atoms.spec.tsx` and `workspace-picker.spec.tsx` cover the menu and chip states; the full ui-conversation, ui-primitives, and ui-workspace suites pass.

## Problem
The transient layout store initialized details to its 360px contract width. The first connected Session and every full reload therefore reserved a right column before the user selected any detail content. Chat tool rows deliberately remain inline and do not open details, while Trajectory rows open the panel when an event is selected, so an open layout default did not represent an active detail selection.
## Decision
The layout store initializes details to zero while retaining the existing 360px contract default for `openDetails()`. `AppFrame` keeps the details slot mounted at zero width, so an explicit entry point such as Trajectory event selection can open the panel without remounting its subtree. The [Session ownership lifecycle](2026-07-29-web-details-session-lifecycle.md) remains authoritative: unselected surfaces derive zero width without taking ownership, returning to the same Session preserves an explicitly opened width, and selecting a different Session closes it.
Panel geometry remains transient. No browser storage key is introduced, and reload restores the sidebar default while details returns to zero. Component tests pin the store default, mounted zero-width slot, drag and concession behavior after explicit opening, and Session ownership transitions. The keyless shipped-composition regression pins the closed first Session, reload, new-session surface, and subsequent Session selections.
## Alternatives considered
**Persist the last open or closed preference.** Rejected because reload should have a deterministic closed baseline, and persisting geometry would reintroduce stale viewing state across browser sessions.
**Keep details open until Chat receives a replacement selection gesture.** Rejected because empty space is not useful detail content. Chat's inline tool-row interaction and any future detail-selection gesture are separate product decisions.
**Remove the details column and layout service.** Rejected because Trajectory already opens event details through this seam, and keeping the mounted slot preserves that working interaction.
## Consequences
New, restored, and reloaded Sessions use the full center area until an explicit details action opens the right column. Trajectory event selection can still open details at 360px and its close control returns the track to zero; Chat tool rows remain geometry-inert. Switching to another Session closes an opened panel, and no panel state survives reload.

# Agent Note: Hero stays visible while a blank session opens

Archived: 2026-08-07

## Problem
The conversation root has a `settling` phase for a session that is still opening while its composer reads `blank`: the hero-versus-docked outcome is unknowable until history arrives, so the composer seat is hidden (`visibility:hidden`) rather than flashing the centered hero and snapping to the docked bar. Startup auto-selection turned that guard into the defect it was meant to prevent. From the no-workspace hero, `WorkspacesService.startInitialSelection` connects the most recent workspace and opens its blank session; `openState` flips to `loading` the moment `open()` lands, so the center column went blank for the whole history round-trip and then repainted, which reads as a full-page refresh on every launch.
## Decision
`ConversationRoot` reads the session list summary's `blank` flag alongside the conversation snapshot and exempts summary-proven blank sessions from settling: `settling` additionally requires `summaryBlank !== true`, and `hero` accepts a blank composer whenever the summary proves the session blank, in every open state rather than only `loading`. A session the list already reports as blank can only land on the hero, so hiding buys nothing and costs the visible flash; the same proof holds before the open starts (`cold`) and after one fails (`error`), where the previous conditions fell through to the active phase and rendered a docked bare composer under chrome `ConversationSession` hides for blank sessions. Whenever the summary does not prove the session blank — a row reporting `blank: false`, or no row at all because the list has not caught up — `summaryBlank` is not `true` and the conservative settling hide is unchanged.
The summary flag and the snapshot's own `blank` are distinct sources: the snapshot describes the session being opened, the summary is the list row that already exists before the open resolves. Only the latter is available early enough to decide the phase.
## Alternatives considered
**Drop the settling phase entirely.** Rejected because it still earns its keep for a session with no summary row: without a prior claim about emptiness, hero-versus-docked is genuinely unknowable and the flash it prevents is the worse one.
**Delay the `loading` flip until history returns.** Rejected because `openState` is authoritative about the open operation; deferring it to suppress a presentation artifact would misreport the data state to every other consumer.
**Cross-fade or otherwise animate the settling hide.** Rejected because the column has nothing to show during the round-trip either way — the fix is to not hide content whose outcome is already known, not to decorate the hiding.
## Deferred
Object-layer reference churn found while diagnosing this — no-op projections minting fresh snapshots, the create path projecting twice, `select()` using `notifyNow` from async continuations — is real but independent of the visible flash.
## Consequences
Startup auto-selection renders the hero immediately and keeps the composer seat and header visible through the history round-trip, so launching into a recent workspace no longer looks like a page reload. Sessions whose summary does not prove them blank keep the previous settling behavior, so the guard still covers the case it was written for. Skeleton tests pin all three summary shapes: a row reporting `blank: false` settles, an absent row settles, and a summary-proven blank session opening under `loading` renders hero chrome with a live textarea.
The assembled coverage is `apps/web/tests/startup-auto-selection.e2e.ts` (keyless web browser lane). Its first Workspace connection asserts that the Hero root, Workspace chip, scroll body, composer seat, and textarea remain the same DOM nodes when the blank Session appears. It then holds the `session.history` response open at the browser's network boundary and asserts the visible frame while the auto-selected open is in flight — hero phase, hero title, painted composer — plus a recorded phase timeline of exactly `['hero']` for the whole load. Holding the round-trip is what makes the second case a regression test rather than a race: against a loopback host the open settles too fast to sample, and with the exemption reverted the held window is precisely when the root reports `settling`.

组装级覆盖是 `apps/web/tests/startup-auto-selection.e2e.ts`(无密钥的 Web 浏览器泳道)。

## Problem
Narrowing the center column — by the window or by the sidebar drag — put a horizontal scrollbar under the whole conversation column on the hero. The bleeding element is the hero's decorative backdrop ellipse: `.heroGlow` is sized `1051/776` of the hero box so its blur scales in userSpace with the input card, which means it reaches past the column whenever the column is narrower than the glow.
That bleed is by construction and stays. What made it user-visible is the scroll container it sits in. `[data-conversation-scroll]` declared `overflow-y: auto` and left the other axis at its initial `visible`, and a box that scrolls in one axis computes `visible` to `auto` in the other. Every column narrower than the glow therefore offered a real horizontal scroll range — measured at 24–95px across the widths a laptop actually produces.
## Decision
`.scrollBody` declares `overflow-x: hidden`. The column states that it is a one-axis scroller instead of leaving the second axis to be derived.
Clipping does not change. `overflow-y: auto` had already made the box a scroll container that clips both axes, so the declaration withdraws only the scrollbar and the user gesture; the glow keeps its bleed, its blur radius, and the same painted extent, and the column keeps its vertical scroll. Nothing in the composer chain moves.
## Alternatives considered
**Size the glow to fit the column.** Rejected. The glow's width is what scales its `stdDeviation="50"` blur with the input card (figma 313:14109); constraining it would make the blur tighten as the column narrows, which is a visual regression to fix a scrollbar.
**Wrap the glow in a clipping box.** Rejected. It adds a box whose only job is to undo an overflow the column already clips, and it leaves the derived `overflow-x: auto` in place for the next element that bleeds — the transcript is full of candidates.
**Rely on the frame's `.centerCol { overflow: hidden }`.** It cannot help. That clip is outside the scroll container, so it hides the glow's overhang at the column border while the container inside it still scrolls to reach it. The reported bar was that container's.
**Assert `scrollWidth === clientWidth` in the test.** Rejected as the signal, because it does not distinguish the states: `hidden` clips the bleed rather than reflowing it away, so the scroll range reads the same on both sides of the fix. Only refusing a user gesture differs, which is what the scenario measures.
## Testing
[apps/web/tests/conversation-column-overflow.e2e.ts](../../../../apps/web/tests/conversation-column-overflow.e2e.ts) sweeps viewport widths bracketing the glow and, at each stop, wheels horizontally over the column and reads `scrollLeft`. The committed golden records the relation per stop; the widest stop is the control where the glow does not bleed at all.
Two guards keep the scenario honest. The vacuity guard asserts the glow still reaches past the column at the narrow stops, so the claim cannot pass by the symptom having disappeared for an unrelated reason. The mutation control forces `overflow-x: auto` back on in the page and shows the same gesture, at the same timing, carrying the column to its positive scroll boundary; the test measures that boundary directly because a stable scrollbar gutter can leave some overflow on the negative side of the scroll origin. Without the control, a `scrollLeft` of 0 could equally mean the wheel never arrived.
## Consequences
The conversation column no longer offers a horizontal scrollbar at any width, and decorative bleed in the composer chain is now clipped rather than exposed as scroll range. The cost is that genuinely wide content under this column is clipped instead of reachable by scrolling: any such surface owns its own scroller, as the markdown code block and the trajectory table already do.

[apps/web/tests/conversation-column-overflow.e2e.ts](../../../../apps/web/tests/conversation-column-overflow.e2e.ts) 扫过一组把椭圆宽度夹在中间的视口宽度,在每一档上向列横向滚轮并读取 `scrollLeft`。

## Problem
The web UI had no goal surface at all: the goal stack shipped with model tools, the TUI/ACP adapters, and the `/goal` command, but the browser client exposed none of it — no runtime verbs, no indicator. This change introduces the client goal verbs (runtime session methods over RPC) and the first goal UI together. Placement follows the redesign's premise that goal presence belongs to the composer's context: the goal is a property of the work the user is about to prompt, so its indicator belongs in the composer-context stack; the [composer context stack decision](../bug-fix/2026-07-30-composer-context-stack-order.md) owns its position among Goal, Todo, Queue, and the composer. The mock keeps only a sparkle, a phase word ("Ongoing/Paused/Blocked Goal"), the truncated objective, and edit/clear icon actions, with resume appearing only on a paused goal.
## Decision
`GoalBar` (`packages/client/ui-goal/src/client/GoalBar.tsx`) is a props-driven, self-contained component registered second in the composer's input-dock list, after Todo and before Queue. Its standalone 752px card follows the composer's horizontal geometry, and every visible state shares one fixed 36px height so switching phases never resizes it. Loading (`goal === undefined`), absent (`goal === null`), and `phase === 'complete'` render nothing — a completed goal is history, not chrome.
Visibility drives the label and actions: active shows "Ongoing Goal" with pause/edit/clear; paused shows "Paused Goal" and swaps pause for a resume icon button; blocked shows "Blocked Goal" and carries `blockedReason.message` as the strip's `title` tooltip. Goal creation lives on the `/goal` command, not in the bar. The pencil swaps the strip for an inline edit form prefilled with the current objective: Enter or the check button saves through `GoalBarActions.onEdit(objective)`, Esc cancels, and an all-whitespace objective keeps save disabled. The form closes only when the edit succeeds; a failure preserves the draft and displays the error in the bar. Resume and clear failures are displayed there as well. Clear otherwise calls `onClear` directly with no confirmation — a clear keeps a durable tombstone, so nothing is unrecoverable. Every mutation first acquires a synchronous component-local single-flight latch because React's pending-state render cannot close the same-frame click window. A successful clear also suppresses that exact goal id immediately while the authoritative null projection catches up, so an acknowledged tombstone cannot leave a stale clear control that submits `GOAL_NOT_FOUND`; a failure releases the latch and remains retryable. An effect keyed on the goal's id resets this transient state and drops the edit form when the goal's identity changes, so neither a cleared marker nor a surviving draft can affect the replacement goal.
`GoalBarActions` lives in ui-goal's slot contract (`packages/client/ui-goal/src/client/slots.ts`) and carries exactly the rendered verbs: `onEdit`/`onPause`/`onResume`/`onClear`. Each callback asynchronously returns an explicit success/failure result so `GoalBar` owns its transitions and error display. `apply.ts` wires them to the runtime session methods; the runtime session resolves the current goal's compare-and-set ref internally, so the UI passes no ref.
The runtime session gains the goal surface the strip (and future UI) needs through the host-computed `goal` projection. The history tail seeds its whole current value, and `session/projection` frames update it when durable `agent/inbox/spliced` insertions commit goal snapshots or clear tombstones; later context admission is irrelevant to UI freshness. The four rendered mutation verbs fold transport failures into `{ ok: false }` results like every sibling session method.
The strip's background is `--dsw-alias-interactive-bg-hover` rather than the mock's literal `#F5F6F7`: the translucent hover gray resolves to that value over the white light-theme base and lifts the strip off the composer card in dark mode, where a static light token would sink. All colors are `--dsw-*` tokens.
## Testing
`packages/client/ui-goal/tests/goalbar.spec.tsx` pins the behavior through props alone: loading/absent/complete render nothing, the active strip renders label/objective and fires clear, rapid same-frame clear clicks dispatch once and a successful clear hides before projection convergence, the edit form prefills, rejects empty, saves on Enter, cancels on Esc, and resets when the goal's identity changes, the active strip fires pause, the paused strip fires resume, and the blocked strip exposes the reason tooltip. Component failure-path cases prove that a failed edit preserves its draft and that edit/resume/clear errors remain visible and retryable in the bar. The skeleton specs mount `ConversationRoot` with and without `goalActions`; the undefined case is seeded with an active goal, so the missing gate — not the missing goal — is what hides the strip. Runtime session specs pin folded-error results and projection updates. A keyless real-browser smoke boots the assembled application through `boot → RPC → runtime → GoalBar` and records an inline snapshot of the rendered label, objective, and actions.
## Alternatives considered
- **Put the strip in the session header** — rejected because the redesign's premise is that goal presence belongs to the composer's context; a header strip separates it from Todo, Queue, and the prompt it qualifies.
- **Render a "Loading goal…" placeholder for `undefined`** — rejected: the strip would flash and collapse on every session open, chrome noise for a sub-second state.
- **Include an inline create affordance when no goal is set** — rejected after implementation review: goal creation lives on the `/goal` command, matching the pattern where the model creates goals on request; the bar is a status indicator, not a creation surface.
- **Carry the full verb set (`onComplete` included) in `GoalBarActions`** — rejected as speculative generality: the interface carries only the rendered verbs (`onPause` joined it when the active strip gained its pause action).
## Consequences
- Goal presence in the web UI is a standalone composer-context strip: sparkle, phase label, truncated objective, and pause/edit/clear (resume replacing pause when paused) — the browser client's first goal surface.
- Goal mutations are single-flight within the component; a successful clear hides its exact goal immediately while projection delivery converges, preventing duplicate CAS errors without making transient UI state authoritative.
- The runtime session exposes the goal verbs over RPC with folded transport errors and consumes the host's durable whole-goal projection on open and live updates.
- Objective editing is reachable from the UI for the first time, through `goal.edit` with the runtime-owned ref; complete remains available to other surfaces (`/goal`, model tools).
- `goal === null` renders nothing; the composer carries no persistent create affordance — creation is the `/goal` command's job.

## Problem
The web chat user bubble already had copy / branch / edit IconActions but no clock. Finalized assistant narration had no under-body action chrome at all, even though the Harness design shows a copy / branch / clock row after the answer settles. Streaming replies must not flash that chrome mid-token. Memoized rows also keep stable props across midnight, so a one-shot `Date.now()` would leave yesterday's messages stuck on `HH:mm`.
## Decision
**User bubbles prepend a date-aware local clock to the existing IconActions row; the last content-text assistant of each turn appends a copy / branch / clock row with `margin-top: 16px`; both seats stay visible whenever mounted and re-format at the next local midnight.**
The assistant seat is narrowed by the [completed-turn decision](../bug-fix/2026-08-05-turn-tail-actions-require-a-completed-turn.md): only a turn with a `turn/end` grants it, so a turn still producing steps hands the row to nothing. The user seat's branch control is removed outright by the [user-bubble branch removal](../simplification/2026-08-06-user-bubbles-drop-the-branch-action.md); a user row's IconActions are clock and copy.
Both seats format `node.time` through `formatMessageClock`: same calendar day → `HH:mm`, earlier this year → `M月D日 HH:mm`, other years → `YYYY年M月D日 HH:mm`. `useCalendarDay` is a component-local day tick (timeout to the next local midnight) so memoized rows re-render when the calendar day changes without a new framework hook. `MessageItem` places the label before copy (figma `388:20051`). `ChatView` derives turn-tail seqs via `assistantActionsSeqs` and withholds `time` for mid-turn content; `AssistantMarkdown` places the row after branch (figma `43:32997`) only when `streaming` is false, the event time is known, and the node has non-empty text content. Think-only nodes, mid-turn narration, and the streaming tail omit the row. Copy writes joined text blocks. Both message rows pass their event's `seq` to the same fork callback; [Web session fork actions](2026-07-27-web-session-fork-actions.md) define the real mutation contract. Clipboard write and the clock helpers live in `message-chrome.ts`. The assembled surface is pinned by `apps/web/tests/message-actions.e2e.ts` (cold-seeded history + aria golden); aria normalization collapses every clock shape to `{{clock}}`.
## Alternatives considered
**Show assistant IconActions during streaming.** Rejected: the request is to reveal the row only after output completes; mid-stream chrome would flicker and invite copying a partial answer.
**Put IconActions under every finalized assistant node (including Think-only).** Rejected: copy has nothing useful to write without text content, and repeating the chrome under every step/Think row clutters the flow; only content output owns the seat.
**Put IconActions under every content-text assistant in a multi-step turn.** Rejected: mid-turn narration (text before tools) is not the settled answer; repeating copy/branch/clock under each step clutters the flow. Only the last content assistant of the turn owns the seat.
**Hover-reveal the action row on hover-capable pointers.** Rejected: once the row exists it should stay discoverable; opacity hiding made the chrome easy to miss and required parent hover selectors that duplicated the mount gate.
**Let the IconActions decision also define session fork semantics.** Rejected: this note owns only message chrome, clocks, and mount gating; boundary selection, failure behavior, and switching semantics belong to the separate [Web session fork actions](2026-07-27-web-session-fork-actions.md), keeping presentation components from becoming a second home for session mutation.
**Publish the calendar day through a chat store or inject hook.** Rejected: the day tick is presentation-only local state with no cross-entry consumers; a component-local timeout matches the client rule that behavioral hooks may own state that does not subscribe to an external source.
## Consequences
Each turn's last settled content answer exposes copy, branch, and the event clock as soon as the row mounts; mid-turn content and Think-only nodes stay chrome-free. User and assistant clocks share the same day/year widening rules and refresh after midnight without a message mutation. Per-message paging remains a deferred footer seat in the package README. Package tests pin the three clock shapes, the midnight widen, the content-only assistant gate, the turn-tail seq gate, and the respective event `seq` values passed by the user and assistant branch buttons; the web e2e scenario pins the assembled IconActions chrome.

Status: implemented
Archived: 2026-08-07

# Agent Note: dsh --dump-config prints the composed config tree

## Problem
The booted tree is a composition the user never sees: the shipped base, a surface overlay, and the `--config` or personal `~/.dsh/config.yaml` overlay apply as sibling patch lists where each id-targeted patch replaces the row's whole `config` and an unmatched id only warns. Debugging a misbehaving personal overlay (a restated field dropped, a row id typo, a patch applying to the wrong surface) required mentally replaying the patch algorithm across three files. There was no way to see the effective tree or to diff it against the shipped defaults.
## Decision
`dsh --dump-config` and `dsh web --dump-config` print the composed entry list — base, surface overlay, then the `--config` or personal overlay, exactly the layers that surface's boot assembles — as YAML on stdout and exit without booting. `dsh --dump-default-config` / `dsh web --dump-default-config` stop at the surface overlay, so diffing the two outputs shows precisely what the user layer changes.
The dump cannot drift from what boots because it shares the mounting code: the vendored include exports its patch algorithm as the pure `applyEntryPatches(data, patches, warn)` (the private `applyPatches` method now delegates to it) and its `!!js` YAML dialect as `entryListSchema`; `dsh-app-boot`'s `renderConfigDump()` composes labeled layers and renders through both, and `apps/cli/src/dump-config.ts` is a thin surface-selection wrapper. `!!js` expressions print verbatim and unevaluated — the dump shows composition, not one process's environment — and a patch whose target row is absent goes to stderr with its layer label, mirroring the Loader's boot-time warning. Launcher-owned boot-context values (session identity, web CLI-flag patches, the frontend dist path) are per-invocation facts outside the config tree and do not appear. The dump flags reject boot-only flags (`-p`, `--resume`, `--config-replace`) and each other, and `--dump-default-config` takes no `--config`.
Each run of same-provenance rows is preceded by a `# ==` comment naming the file that contributed the rows and the layers that patched them (`# == base.cordis.yml, patched by tui.cordis.yml`), so the output shows which section comes from which file while remaining one loadable YAML document. Composition is one flattened `applyEntryPatches` call over all layers — boot's exact call shape, so even patch-visibility corner cases (a later layer targeting a group child that a plain `config` replacement introduced, invisible to the single-pass id index) compose identically; applying one call per layer would rebuild the index between layers and print a tree boot never mounts. Provenance is derived from single-call prefix snapshots (base + layers 1..k) diffed positionally: the patch algorithm only rewrites rows in place or appends, so a top-level index identifies one row across snapshots, and a layer counts as having patched a row when adding it changed that row (config replacement, disable, group insert). Patch lists are cloned per snapshot because `applyEntryPatches` pushes `insert` rows by reference from the patch list.
`dsh-app-boot` previously duplicated the include's `!!js` YAML type for patch parsing; it now imports `entryListSchema`, so the dialect has one owner.
## Alternatives considered
**Boot the tree and dump `ctx.loader.entries()`.** Rejected: booting evaluates `!!js` expressions (leaking one machine's environment into the printed config), starts adapters and sessions as side effects, requires a TTY-independent teardown path, and is slow. The dump is for debugging composition, which is a pure function of the files.
**Reimplement the patch merge in the CLI.** Rejected: a second implementation of `applyPatches` would silently drift from the vendored include — the exact failure mode the feature exists to debug. Exporting the include's own algorithm costs one logged vendor modification and guarantees identity.
**A `/dump-config` TUI command instead of flags.** Rejected as the only form: the primary use is a piped `dsh --dump-config | diff - <(dsh --dump-default-config)` style workflow, which needs a boot-free non-TTY surface. A TUI command can be added later over the same `renderConfigDump`.
## Consequences
Config debugging becomes one command instead of mental patch replay, and support can ask for `--dump-config` output. The vendored include carries one more logged local modification (the `applyEntryPatches`/`entryListSchema` exports; behavior-preserving for mounting) to re-apply on upstream sync. Provenance tracking re-composes one prefix snapshot per layer and diffs rows by JSON stringify, so the dump does extra work proportional to layers² × rows; that cost lives only in the boot-free dump path. `renderConfigDump` is unit-tested for layer ordering, verbatim `!!js` round-tripping, provenance separators and grouping, labeled unmatched-patch warnings, and loud read/parse/shape failures; the built-bin e2e drives all four flag forms through `lib/bin.js` including the personal-overlay layer, its provenance label, and its stderr warning.

## Problem
## Decision
## Alternatives considered
**启动整棵树后 dump `ctx.loader.entries()`。
## Consequences

## Problem
The web composer footer showed a single joined stats string (cache/tokens/turns/steps) in its own stack row, visually detached from the input card and missing the design's duration and token-split details. The input zone itself had accumulated per-entry spacing hacks: dock strips carried their own margins, the sticky seat sat on a solid fill that clipped the transcript hard, the back-to-bottom control cleared the composer by a hardcoded offset that broke as the draft grew, and the goal and todo strips disagreed on surface color and column width.
## Decision
**The stats line renders inside the InputBar's width column through a new `footer` owner prop and expands to the design's grouped detail row; the composer stack owns one 6px rhythm; the seat fades the transcript through a fixed 36px token-bound gradient; the back-to-bottom control follows a live `--dsh-composer-height`; goal, todo, and queue share one 752px tip-fill column.**
- `'conversation.composer.dock'` entries reach the page as the `ComposerBarOwnerProps.footer` slot, rendered under the card inside the bar's `.root`, so the stats line and the card share one width constraint. `StatsLine` derives everything client-side from the snapshot: turns/steps, LLM wall time from assistant `timing` (`completedTime - stepStartTime`), tool wall time from tool-result `time - callTime` pairs, prompt/output token split with cache-read folded into input, and cache-hit percentage. Groups render pipe-separated and drop out whole when empty; `formatTokens` (517 / 12.2K / 1.2M) and `formatDuration` (45.2s / 2m42s) are exported for tests. Durations cover only in-window nodes — the README owns that limitation.
- `.composerStack` carries the Figma composition matrix's 6px gap. Goal and Todo remain standalone cards; the terminal Queue entry subtracts that gap plus the named 5px layout overlap so the later composer card paints over only the queue edge. The [composer context stack decision](../bug-fix/2026-07-30-composer-context-stack-order.md) owns the order and overlap contract.
- The sticky seat's background is a `linear-gradient` from `color-mix(bg-base 0%, transparent)` at 0px to solid `bg-base` at 36px — pixel stops, not the figma export's percentage, so a growing draft widens only the solid region; `color-mix` keeps both themes fading from their own base.
- A `useCallback` ref on the seat attaches a ResizeObserver that publishes `--dsh-composer-height` on the scroll body; ChatView's back-to-bottom slot computes `bottom` from it (152px first-paint fallback) instead of the prior hardcoded 168px.
- The textarea's 52px two-line floor applies to the hero variant only; the docked composer collapses to content height. Goal, Todo, and Queue panels use the 44px-gutter / 752px-cap column with `tip` fill and l1 border; the standalone Goal and collapsed Todo cards are 36px and 44px tall.
## Alternatives considered
**Percentage gradient stops (the figma export's 24%).** Rejected: the stop scales with seat height, so a tall draft stretches the fade band over most of the transcript; the fixed 36px band equals the design's 24% at the resting ~150px composer and stays constant as the composer grows.
**A generic "bottommost entry tucks" contract.** Rejected because Goal and Todo are independent cards even when either is the last visible dock entry. Queue owns the one intentional composer overlap, while the stack owns its shared gap and overlap values.
**Backend-supplied duration fields for the stats line.** Unnecessary: assistant `timing` and tool call/result pairs already reach the snapshot, so wall times fold client-side with no new session event or host projection.
**Keeping the stats line as a composer-stack sibling.** Rejected: as a stack row it carried its own width constraint that drifted from the card's; as the bar's `footer` both share one column and the stats participate in the seat's sticky/gradient region by construction.
## Consequences
The stats row reads turns/steps, LLM and tool durations, cache hit, and input/output tokens at a glance, at the cost that durations cover only the loaded event window (README Known Limitation). The stack's fixed order keeps standalone context cards independent and makes Queue the only panel joined to the composer; a future dock entry must choose its order relative to those roles. The fade band is a constant 36px, so any future design retune is one stop value. `chat-stats-bash-sample.spec.tsx` pins the derivation (timing/tool folds, token split), both formatters, the grouped render, and the zero-renders-during-streaming acceptance.

- `'conversation.composer.dock'` 条目以 `ComposerBarOwnerProps.footer` 席位到达页面,渲染在卡片下方、bar 的 `.root` 之内,统计行与卡片因此共享同一宽度约束。
## Alternatives considered
## Consequences

# Agent Note: Web context injection disclosure

Status: implemented
Archived: 2026-08-07

## Problem
The Web conversation rendered every logged non-user message through the generic `JsonBlock`. That presentation used a textual triangle, compact label typography, a bordered JSON panel, and unrelated spacing, so context injection did not match the Tool calls disclosure shown in the product design. Restyling the generic primitive would also change unknown events and attachment fallbacks.
## Decision
`MessageItem` routes context nodes to `ContextInjectionRow`. The row starts collapsed, names the presentation `上下文注入`, uses the existing browse glyph, and exposes the whole 24px header as one pointer and keyboard disclosure target. Its expanded body begins 4px below the header at the shared 22px content indent and renders the design's 141px scrollport with 8px radius, code-block background, 11/16 code text, and no border.
`ContextInjectionRow` serializes both logged `content` and `source` into one inline JSON value, preserving provenance alongside model-visible material. The display remains bounded by the existing 20,000-character truncation policy. It changes no session event, runtime fold, or context-producing plugin.
The package-internal `DisclosureRow` owns the header geometry, icon-to-chevron transition, controlled open state, and Enter/Space behavior shared by context and `ToolRow`. `ToolRow` remains the semantic owner of tool state, summaries, file links, and expanded tool bodies. Context does not enter the keyed toolview slot and gains no context-specific slot while all context sources share one presentation.
## Verification
Conversation component tests pin the collapsed default, browse glyph, whole-row pointer and keyboard toggles, inline JSON shape, truncation, and unchanged generic unknown-event rendering. The keyless assembled-Web history scenario injects context through the real Agent API, records the collapsed row in its ARIA golden, and measures the design's icon, header, indent, gap, scrollport, padding, radius, typography, color, and overflow in Chromium.
## Alternatives considered
**Restyle `JsonBlock` globally.** Unknown surface events and miscellaneous content blocks use that primitive for a separate generic fallback, so a global visual change would couple unrelated presentations.
**Render context as a read tool.** Reusing `ToolRow` directly would add false tool semantics, state and keyed dispatch to a logged non-user message.
**Add a keyed context-view slot.** Every current context source uses the same title and provenance body. A registration seam has no present consumer and can be added without changing the row if distinct source-owned presentations emerge.
## Consequences
Context injection matches the Tool calls visual language without changing its durable meaning. The shared disclosure header prevents the two rows from drifting, while the dedicated context body and generic `JsonBlock` remain independently evolvable. The fixed-height body trades automatic expansion for a stable transcript rhythm and requires scrolling to inspect long injected instructions.

# Agent Note: Web

Status: implemented

# Agent Note: Hover cards copy their primary value on activation

Status: implemented

Archived: 2026-08-07

## Problem
Workspace and Session rows clip the two values their hover cards expose in full: the Workspace directory path and Session title. The [reachable card](../bug-fix/2026-07-30-hover-popup-pointer-grace.md) permits text selection, but selecting and copying a single known value is a needlessly precise gesture, and the card gives no confirmation that the clipboard accepted it.
## Decision
`HoverCard` accepts an optional `copyText` plus `copyLabel` and `copiedLabel`. With `copyText`, the whole card has button semantics for pointer and keyboard activation; its accessible name combines the localized action prefix with the exact value, it writes that value through the shared clipboard helper, and it replaces its content with the success label for up to one second only after the host accepts the write. The feedback retains the pre-copy card height and clears with the card. Without `copyText`, the atom retains its read/select-only behavior.
The Workspace browser chooses the payload rather than making the primitive infer it from rendered text: a Workspace card passes the full directory path, and a non-blank Session card passes the full display title. A provisional blank New Session card remains read-only because its localized label is a placeholder, not session content. The browser's locale seat supplies `Copy`/`复制` and the success state `Copied`/`已复制`.
Press and activation remain separate contracts. A pointer press inside the card keeps it mounted so text selection can begin; a completed non-collapsed selection intersecting the card suppresses pointer-click activation, while a plain click or button key activates copy. Anchor-region presses still dismiss immediately, and clipboard rejection leaves the original content visible without claiming success.
## Alternatives considered
**Copy the card's rendered `textContent`.** That would concatenate the primary value with creation time or running status, making the clipboard payload depend on presentation and localization.
**Implement clipboard state in both Workspace card bodies.** The two consumers would duplicate host fallback, keyboard behavior, timer ownership, and success rendering even though the card owns the activation surface.
**Change the common Chinese `copied` label from `复制成功` to `已复制`.** That would alter every existing copy control to satisfy one card interaction. The Workspace dictionary owns the card-specific wording instead.
## Consequences
Both non-placeholder hover-card variants gain the same click and keyboard affordance while retaining consumer-owned payload semantics and localized feedback. The generic atom adds one optional behavior path and a one-second timer; it clears copied state on close, ignores completion after close or unmount, and never reports a rejected write as success. Focused component coverage pins pointer selection precedence, activation, failure, feedback geometry and expiry, and cleanup, while the real-browser Workspace scenario verifies the English label, stable feedback height, and browser clipboard.

## Problem
The Web client grew five card render intents over successive PRs — terminal, diff, read, search, web — each landing as a keyed toolview registrant under `packages/client/ui-conversation/src/client/toolviews/`. They diverged in two ways the earlier PRs each acknowledged but deferred:
- **Chrome duplication.** `read-row`, `search-row`, `web-row`, and `file-mutation-row` each hand-drew the summary row (leading state slot, visually-hidden status, title, separator dot, path-link/summary) as their own `<div className={css.root}>` with a private `.module.css`, instead of composing the shared `ToolRow`. `read-row` carried a `jscpd:ignore` marker naming the duplication and pointing at "a separate change tracked for all rows at once" — this change.
- **Resident vs. collapsed.** Those four rows kept their card (`ReadBlock`/`SearchBlock`/`WebBlock`/`DiffBlock`) resident below the summary — always expanded — while the terminal card (via `GenericToolCard`/`BashRow`) and every text row started collapsed behind ToolRow's whole-row expand. A conversation with several read/search/web/edit calls became a wall of always-open cards, defeating the summary-surface purpose of the message flow.
## Decision
`ToolRow` owns every card kind, and every keyed card row composes it. ToolRow already took `terminal` and `diff` card material; it now also takes `read`, `search`, and `web`, rendering whichever is present in its collapsed-by-default expanded body through the matching primitive (capped at the chat `CHAT_*` bounds). A call carries at most one card kind, so the props are mutually exclusive and the body picks the first present.
The four keyed rows — `ReadRow`, `SearchRow`, `WebRow`, `FileMutationRow` — drop their hand-drawn chrome and private CSS and become thin `ToolRow` compositions, exactly like `AskQuestionRow`: derive the card model, pass it as the matching ToolRow prop, forward `filePath`/`onOpenFile` for the file tools and `output`/`errorSummary` for the cardless failure paths. Each row is now `ToolRowProps & PropsLocale<'conversation'>` and registers with `locale: NS`, because ToolRow needs the conversation `t` for its terminal/code body copy. `GenericToolCard` (the render-site fallback) does the same for read/search/web, so a card-declaring tool without its own keyed row collapses identically.
The `DetailsPanel` Output section is unchanged: the panel is the single-call reading surface, so it renders each card resident at the primitive's full height, and a capped search keeps its recovery footer there.
## Consequences
- One expand interaction across all tool rows: collapsed one-line summary, whole row toggles the card. The card is not in the DOM until expanded (`DisclosureRow` renders `children` only when open), so tests assert absent-then-present around a `[data-expandable]` click.
- Deleted: `read-row.module.css`, `search-row.module.css`, `web-row.module.css`, `file-mutation-row.module.css`, `GenericToolCard.module.css`. The rows carry no CSS of their own; ToolRow's module owns the chrome and the card-body indentation.
- The cardless failure paths (an errored mutation, an errored/nested/legacy search) no longer draw their own `.failure`/recovery `<div>`; they ride ToolRow's `output` (Output section) and `errorSummary` (collapsed summary first line), which already flatten the result text with the `error.name: error.code` fallback.
- `bash-sample` keeps its own local expand chrome deliberately (the third-party-posture exemplar that never imports the chat domain); it was already collapsed, so its behavior is unchanged.
## Alternatives considered
- **Keep the rows resident, only unify chrome.** Rejected: the user's requirement is default-collapsed, and resident cards are what made the flow unscannable.
- **A shared `CardRow` wrapper between the rows and ToolRow.** Rejected: ToolRow already is that wrapper once it takes every card kind; a second layer would be the premature extraction the package rules warn against.

- 已删除:`read-row.module.css`、`search-row.module.css`、`web-row.module.css`、`file-mutation-row.module.css`、`GenericToolCard.module.css`。

# Agent Note: Generated cordis events + services catalog

## Problem
A plugin author needs two reference surfaces that no single document gave them: every cordis **event** they can listen to (with its exact signature and dispatch mode) and every `ctx.<key>` **service** they can call (with its exact interface). The pieces existed but were scattered — a hand-maintained event-taxonomy *table* in `docs/architecture.md` (names + prose Mode/Purpose, name-set-checked by `verify-event-taxonomy`), a Service-map table (8 rows of role prose), and the `interface Events` / `interface Context` declarations themselves. The taxonomy table also could not catch a brand-new *undocumented* event: a name-set verifier only checks the names that are already in the table on both sides.
This is the wiring-axis complement to the [core-data-structures catalog](../../../../docs/core-data-structures/core.md) ([its Agent Note](2026-06-20-core-data-structures-catalog.md)): that one catalogs the *data structures* the loop moves around (verified hand-pastes); this one catalogs the *events and services* that move them.
## Decision
Generate the catalog from source instead of hand-maintaining a table and verifying a subset.
`scripts/gen-cordis-catalog.ts` uses the TypeScript compiler API to emit separate event and service references from declarations and source JSDoc. Events include dispatch modes and their original member JSDoc; services include public signatures with each method's original JSDoc. Deterministic `--write` and `--check` modes make both pages generated artifacts, with freshness enforced by `doc-sync`.
Pure generation is correct here because the codebase is disciplined enough that the AST is the whole truth: every event/service name is a string literal that round-trips to a static declaration — there are no dynamically-named events and no runtime-only services. So a generated doc cannot be wrong, and it closes the undocumented-event gap structurally (generation enumerates source rather than checking a hand-written subset).
Specific choices:
- **`@mode` tag, cross-checked.** Each harness event's JSDoc carries an explicit `@mode emit|waterfall|parallel|serial` tag; the generator hard-errors on a missing tag. Where the signature shape is conclusive — a trailing `next: () => …` parameter is structurally a waterfall — it asserts the tag agrees and hard-errors on a contradiction. The emit/parallel/serial distinction is not structurally visible (`session/flush` returns `Promise<void> | void` with no `next`, as does the ordered `agent/pre-step` checkpoint), so it is trusted from the tag. The authoring rule lives in [AGENTS.md](../../../../AGENTS.md).
- **Tiered scope.** The harness tier (the 8 `@deepseek-ai/dsh-*` services + their events) is rendered in full from source. The inherited tier (cordis-core `ctx.on/emit/effect/provide/…` + the `internal/*` events + loader/hmr/timer) is pinned vendor source a plugin also sees; it is rendered tersely (name + one-line + source pointer) from a curated table in the generator, NOT walked from the vendor AST — the cordis-core `Context` mixes true ctx members with non-service fields (`root`, `baseUrl`, `logger`), and the vendor surface changes only on a deliberate vendor sync.
- **Cross-links to the data-structure catalog.** Every repository-owned type name in a signature (`GenerateOptions`, `StreamChunk`, `ToolDefinition`, …) links to its primary core-data-structures page through a curated map. The AST walk is fail-closed: each parameter, generic constraint/default, and return-type reference must be mapped, be the signature's own type parameter, be a named TypeScript/Cordis foundation type, or carry a named exception with its non-catalog documentation owner. Violations aggregate with source pointers and name the appropriate owning lists. The map does NOT reuse `type-equiv.manifest.json`, which documents `…Map` symbols while signatures reference derived union names and lists some symbols on multiple pages.
- **A dedicated fence.** Signature blocks use a ` ```ts cordis-catalog ` info string and place the original event or public-method JSDoc immediately before its declaration. `doc-typecheck` recognizes and skips the bare fragments, excluding them from the opt-out ratio — the same treatment `type-equiv` blocks get.
This **supersedes the event-taxonomy half** of [doc-sync enforcement](../../archived/process/2026-06-11-doc-sync-enforcement.md): `verify-event-taxonomy` and its `docs/architecture.md` table are retired (the architecture.md heading stays, its body now points at the catalog; the Service-map role table stays as curated prose). doc-typecheck, verify-md-wrap, verify-md-links, and verify-type-equiv are unchanged.
## Alternatives considered
- **Verify-don't-generate, as the retired taxonomy check did** — reversed *for this surface only*: the data here is mechanically complete, so generation is strictly stronger (full signatures, cannot drift, catches undocumented events) than a name-set check of a hand-maintained table.
- **Walking the vendor AST for the inherited tier** — rejected for the curated table: the cordis-core `Context` mixes true ctx members with non-service fields, and the pinned vendor surface changes only on a deliberate sync.
- **Reusing `type-equiv.manifest.json` as the signature cross-link map** — rejected for a complete curated const plus fail-closed coverage: the manifest documents `…Map` symbols while signatures reference derived union names, and it lists some symbols on multiple pages. The explicit map makes each rendered destination and each non-catalog exception a reviewable decision.
## Consequences
- The catalog cannot drift: a source change that the committed file doesn't reflect fails `verify-cordis-catalog` in `doc-sync` and CI. A new event with no `@mode` tag, a tag that contradicts its signature, or an unclassified signature type fails the generator outright.
- Event and service-method contracts have a single home — the JSDoc at the declaration. The catalog repeats that original JSDoc inside its generated signature block and uses its description portion as entry prose, so thin source documentation yields a thin catalog entry.
- The inherited tier is hand-summarized, so a vendor sync that adds/renames a cordis-core event or `ctx` member needs a matching edit to the curated table in `gen-cordis-catalog.ts`. This is the deliberate cost of not walking pinned vendor source; it changes rarely and is called out in the generator.
- `verify-event-taxonomy.ts` is deleted and the `docs/architecture.md` event table is gone; anyone who linked to a specific table row now lands on the generated catalog instead.

编写规则见 [AGENTS.md](../../../../AGENTS.md)。

# Agent Note: Replace the hand-rolled SSE parser in llm-deepseek with eventsource-parser

## Problem
`packages/llm/llm-deepseek/src/sse.ts` hand-implemented Server-Sent Events parsing: a streaming `TextDecoder`, event-block splitting on `\r?\n\r?\n`, `data:` payload extraction and joining, comment/field skipping, the `[DONE]` sentinel, a `STREAM_CLOSED` error on EOF without it, and a flush of a final unterminated event block. The file was ~67 lines with ~108 lines of dedicated tests (`tests/sse.spec.ts`) re-proving SSE spec behavior — UTF-8 split across chunks, CRLF handling, multi-`data:` joining, no-space-after-colon — that a maintained parser already guarantees. Its only consumer is `adapter.ts` (`yield* translate(parseSse(response.body))`).
This is exactly the surface `eventsource-parser` owns: the de-facto standard SSE parser (it underlies the Vercel AI SDK and the MCP SDK), zero-dependency, actively maintained, and already present in this repo's lockfile transitively via `@modelcontextprotocol/sdk` — so adopting it directly adds no new supply-chain surface in practice.
## Decision
`sse.ts` delegates SSE framing to `EventSourceParserStream` from `eventsource-parser/stream`: `parseSse` pipes the response body through `new TextDecoderStream()` then `new EventSourceParserStream()` and keeps only the DeepSeek protocol shim — yield each event's `data`, terminate on `[DONE]`, and throw `LlmError('STREAM_CLOSED')` when the stream ends without the sentinel. All required builtins (`TextDecoderStream`, `pipeThrough`, async-iterable `ReadableStream`) exist at the Node ^22.19 engine floor. The spec-conformance tests are gone; `tests/sse.spec.ts` pins only the `[DONE]`/`STREAM_CLOSED`/EOF contract. `eventsource-parser` is `llm-deepseek`'s second runtime dependency after schemastery. The [twin-adapters note](../architecture/2026-06-13-twin-llm-adapters.md) and the `dsh-llm` JSDoc that branded this adapter "hand-rolled fetch + SSE parsing" now describe it as direct fetch with library-framed SSE.
The library also strips a leading BOM (the hand-rolled parser would fail to match `data:` after one) and offers `maxBufferSize` hardening the hand-rolled parser lacked.
## Alternatives considered
- **Keep the hand-rolled parser.** Defensible under the [twin-adapters decision](../architecture/2026-06-13-twin-llm-adapters.md): the adapter is deliberately the hand-rolled design-verification twin of the pi-ai adapter. But that note's load-bearing distinction is owning the fetch/translate internals versus delegating to a full provider SDK; a ~700-byte SSE micro-parser is transport plumbing, not the design under verification. The twin-adapters note now states that reading explicitly.
- **`createParser({onEvent})` callback API instead of the stream.** Works fed by a manual `TextDecoder` loop, but the `pipeThrough` composition deletes more of the hand-rolled code.
## Consequences
- The remaining shim only encodes the DeepSeek `[DONE]`/`STREAM_CLOSED` protocol; SSE framing edge cases are eventsource-parser's contract and are no longer re-proven here.
- One deliberate robustness deviation is dropped: the hand-rolled parser flushed a final event block that lacked its terminating blank line, so a trailing `data: [DONE]` without `\n\n` still yielded DONE. eventsource-parser is spec-strict and only dispatches on the blank line, so that shape is now `STREAM_CLOSED`. Real providers and `dsh-llm-mock-server` always terminate events properly — the flush was a robustness nicety, not an observed provider shape — and `tests/sse.spec.ts` pins the new truncation verdict for that tail.
- The documented "hand-rolled" identity of the twin adapter narrows to the fetch/translate internals; the twin-adapters note was updated in the same change rather than leaving the claim stale.

它唯一的消费方是 `adapter.ts`(`yield* translate(parseSse(response.body))`)。
规范符合性测试已删除;`tests/sse.spec.ts` 只固定 `[DONE]`/`STREAM_CLOSED`/EOF 契约。
该库还会剥离开头的 BOM(手写解析器在 BOM 之后会无法匹配 `data:`),并提供手写解析器缺少的 `maxBufferSize` 加固能力。
- **改用 `createParser({onEvent})` 回调 API 而非流。

# Agent Note: Replace tool-web's regex HTML-to-markdown converter with turndown

Status: implemented

## Problem
`dsh-tool-web`'s `src/html.ts` (~86 lines, ~40 lines of dedicated tests; deleted by this change) converted fetched HTML to markdown with regexes: strip script/style/noscript/comments, convert `<a>`/`<h1-6>`/`<li>`, decode numeric entities plus a 12-entry named-entity table, collapse whitespace. The module's own JSDoc said "A richer converter can replace it without changing the seam or tool schema", and the README's Known Limitations documented it as "a minimal regex converter, not an HTML parser — tables, images, and nested formatting are lost." The [web capability seam note](../architecture/2026-06-24-web-capability-seam.md) assigns HTML→markdown to this package as presentation, so the swap point was exactly here. The converter's output is model-visible on every fetched HTML page; no keyless snapshot exercised `web_fetch`, so no expected outputs pinned it.
## Decision
`packages/web/tool-web/src/fetch.ts` owns a module-level [`turndown`](https://github.com/mixmark-io/turndown) instance (`headingStyle: 'atx'`, `codeBlockStyle: 'fenced'`, `bulletListMarker: '-'` — fixed model-facing presentation, not deployment tunables) with `@joplin/turndown-plugin-gfm`'s composite `gfm` plugin for tables/strikethrough and `remove(['script', 'style', 'noscript'])` replacing the old wholesale drops. `formatFetchOutput` limits both the source prefix converted synchronously and the complete rendered output with `fetchMaxOutputChars` (default 200,000), so a custom provider cannot make conversion work unbounded before the output cap applies. The HTML arm then guards conversion twice: a conservative linear lexical pass treats comment contents conservatively, skips raw-text bodies, honors quoted tag text, and passes a body through raw when its stack crosses 512 levels; a try/catch also falls back to raw HTML when turndown rejects markup the guard cannot model. The GFM cell rule is overridden to ignore `colspan`, which Markdown cannot represent, rather than letting an untrusted numeric attribute synthesize arbitrary empty cells. `html.ts` and its conversion tests are deleted; the source/output bounds, fallback, and status-header/truncation-footer formatting are tested in `tests/tool-web.spec.ts`, and the README's Known Limitations trades the regex-converter caveat for the bounded degradation cases. The gfm plugin ships no types; `src/turndown-plugin-gfm.d.ts` declares the one imported export over `@types/turndown` (a devDependency).
The dependency-weight question the proposal flagged resolves in favor of the swap: `@deepseek-ai/dsh-tool-web` is in the single-file-executable closure ([single-exe note](../architecture/2026-07-10-single-file-executable-sdk-runtime-distribution.md)), and the exe's asset globs would pack ~7.9 MB of the three packages as published — but ~6 MB of that is `@mixmark-io/domino`'s test corpus (`test/**`), with runtime `lib/` at ~550 KB against a ~174 MB artifact, under 0.5% either way.
## Snapshot coverage
The previously-missing keyless `web_fetch` snapshot ships with the change as the acp-agent scenario `web-fetch`: `examples/acp-agent/web.cordis.yml` composes the web seam, the real `dsh-web-fetch-local` provider, `tool-web` with `search: false`, and `web-fetch-fixture-server.mjs` — a loopback HTTP fixture on a fixed port (the fetched URL is part of the recorded transcript) serving deterministic HTML with named entities, a GFM table, and nested formatting. Recording and keyless replay both drive the real HTTP fetch and conversion; the pinned tool result is the turndown output, and the scenario pins the `web` header class (the `web_fetch` schema and guidance).
## Alternatives considered
- **`@mozilla/readability` + a DOM.** Solves a different problem (content extraction, not conversion) and drags a heavier DOM dependency; the seam only asks for markdown rendering of whatever the fetch returned.
- **Keep the regex converter.** It was an explicit v1 placeholder per its own JSDoc; keeping it meant model-visible quality (tables, images, nested formatting) stayed lost for the cost of maintaining bespoke entity tables.
- **The minimal `entities`-only variant.** The proposal's fallback position: replace only the entity-decoding third of `html.ts` with the zero-dependency `entities` package, deleting less but avoiding the dependency-weight question. Not taken because the closure math above made the weight immaterial while the full swap deletes the whole hand-rolled converter and its documented quality gaps.
- **`turndown-plugin-gfm` (the original) instead of `@joplin/turndown-plugin-gfm`.** The original is unmaintained (last publish 2018); the Joplin fork is current against turndown 7 and actively released.
## Consequences
- **Bought**: standards-based model-visible markdown — ordinary tables, images, strikethrough, nested emphasis, fenced code blocks, and the complete named-entity set — plus the deletion of the bespoke converter and its entity tables.
- **Paid**: two runtime dependencies (`turndown` → `@mixmark-io/domino`) enter tool-web and therefore the exe closure (~550 KB of runtime code as measured above); overlong input is converted only through a bounded prefix, pathological nesting falls back to raw HTML, and spanning table cells are flattened because GFM has no corresponding syntax.
- Model-visible output changed on every fetched HTML page; nothing pinned the old output, and the new snapshot pins the new one.
## Testing
- `packages/web/tool-web/tests/tool-web.spec.ts` covers the turndown conversion surface (entities, links, tables, nesting, script/style/noscript removal), ignored table spans, source-prefix and complete-output bounds, fast raw-HTML passthrough for deep or deceptively closed nesting, linear handling of malformed tags, the residual converter-throw fallback, and exact and tiny output budgets; per-file coverage on the package src is 100%.
- The `web-fetch` acp-agent snapshot pins the assembled behavior keylessly end to end (real Loader composition, real HTTP fetch, real conversion).

该模块自身的 JSDoc 写明「A richer converter can replace it without changing the seam or tool schema」,README 的 Known Limitations 章节也把它记载为「a minimal regex converter, not an HTML parser — tables, images, and nested formatting are lost」。
- **`@mozilla/readability` 加一个 DOM。

## Problem
The AppFrame exposed identical floating pills on both column borders. The left pill added unnecessary visual weight beside primary navigation, but the sidebar's resize interaction remains useful.
## Decision
AppFrame keeps the sidebar's 8px resize hit strip, `col-resize` cursor, pointer capture, animation-frame throttling, and width updates, but does not generate the sidebar handle's pill pseudo-element. The details boundary retains both its hit strip and floating pill.
The layout component test continues to pin sidebar dragging and both handles' collapse lifecycle. A keyless browser scenario reads the generated pseudo-elements from the shipped composition and drags the invisible sidebar boundary to prove the interaction remains live.
## Alternatives considered
**Remove the sidebar drag interaction with the pill.** Rejected because the requested change is visual; removing a working geometry control would unnecessarily narrow the interaction.
**Keep the pill but reduce its emphasis.** A smaller or lower-contrast pill still leaves an unwanted object on the sidebar boundary.
## Consequences
The sidebar boundary is visually quiet while pointer resizing remains available from the boundary and retains the resize cursor. Unlike the details control, that interaction has no visible pill.

## Problem
Mid-turn steering is a host/agent-loop capability (`mode:'steer'`, a durable `user/message`). The Web product already locked the composer while a turn runs and never shipped a queue/steer menu, yet the client still threaded `'queue' | 'steer'` through the input machine, `conversation.send`, and locale keys, and rendered consumed steering as a badged 「插话」/「Interjection」 bubble. That left a half-built UI surface: an unused submit mode, a product label for a gesture users cannot perform, and e2e goldens that pinned chrome the product does not own.
## Decision
Keep host and runtime steering intact. Remove only the Web UI entry and chrome:
- `InputMachine` / `SessionInput` / `InputActions.submit` / hub `defaultSink` are queue-only; they always call `session.prompt(..., 'queue')`.
- `ConversationService.send(text)` drops its mode argument and always queues.
- Durable steer content renders as a plain right-aligned bubble (no badge, no user IconActions) so external/host steers stay visible on replay.
- Delete `message.steering` locale strings and the unused badge CSS.
- The web steering e2e still POSTs `mode:'steer'` over `/api/session.prompt` and asserts durable + model-visible obedience; it no longer expects interjection chrome. Update [web input machine note](../architecture/2026-07-25-web-input-machine-and-slash-pipeline.md) fact lines to match.
## Alternatives considered
**Delete host steering entirely.** Out of scope; the user asked only for Web UI display and entry. Agent-loop drain, session events, and the wire mode remain load-bearing for ACP/TUI/automation.
**Hide durable steer `user/message` content from the transcript.** Would lie on replay when an external client steers; rejected in favor of a plain bubble.
**Keep the mode parameter but only ever pass `'queue'`.** Leaves dead API surface and tests that invent `'steer'` paths the composer cannot reach.
## Consequences
- **Superseded in part.** Decision bullets 1 and 3 through 5 no longer describe master: composer steering shipped later, and the [context-source and steer marks decision](../feature/2026-08-04-web-context-source-and-steer-marks.md) owns its caption. The current facts follow.
- Host steering ownership is unchanged: agent-loop drain, session events, and the wire mode remain load-bearing for ACP, automation, and non-Web clients.
- `ConversationService.send(text)` still takes no mode and always queues; the composer's Steer gesture uses `session.prompt(mode: 'steer')` instead.
- Durable steer `user/message` content still folds into the transcript, so an externally submitted steer stays truthful on replay. It now carries the interjection caption instead of rendering as a bare bubble.
- Non-user next-step items (`agent.inject` context: approval notices, task completion, attached snapshots) broadcast with the `context` placement and never render as pending steering bubbles; they stay invisible until claimed as durable `user/message` context cards.
## Testing
- `packages/client/ui-conversation` unit/jsdom coverage: input machine enter/sink, ConversationService routing, the MessageItem steering arm, InputBar submit.
- `apps/web/tests/steering.e2e.ts` keyless replay plus its goldens, which pin the caption.
- `packages/host/apiproxy` `session/queue` projection test asserts user-origin next-step items stay `steering` while plugin-origin items land as `context`.

- `InputMachine`/`SessionInput`/`InputActions.submit`/hub `defaultSink` 仅 queue;始终调用 `session.prompt(..., 'queue')`。
- `ConversationService.send(text)` 去掉 mode 参数,始终排队。
- `ConversationService.send(text)` 仍然不接 mode,始终排队;composer 的 Steer 手势改走 `session.prompt(mode: 'steer')`。
- `apps/web/tests/steering.e2e.ts` 无密钥回放及其黄金基线,后者会检查插话标注。

## Problem
Roughly ten e2e/smoke files re-derived the same spawn-collect-timeout choreography by hand: `let stdout = ''` accumulation with `setEncoding` and `data` handlers, a `setTimeout` → `kill('SIGKILL')` deadline, and `once('exit')`/`once('error')` settlement, each with small variations. The sites: the inner spawn block of `runLoaderSmoke` (`packages/support/loader-smoke/src/index.ts`), `runBuiltBin` in `apps/cli/tests/built-bin.e2e.ts` and `packages/examples/cli-demo/tests/built-bin.e2e.ts`, `runBinExpectingExit` in `packages/examples/acp-demo/tests/built-bin.e2e.ts`, the built-lib e2e helpers in `lsp-local` and `code-runtime-worker`, the outer collector of `examples/tui-agent/tests/pty-harness.ts`, `examples/jsonrpc-agent/tests/keyless-smoke.e2e.ts`, and partially `apps/web/tests/smoke-real.e2e.ts` and `session-checkpoint-policy/tests/crash-recovery.e2e.ts`.
Two related test-infra hand-rolls compounded the case:
- `packages/support/llm-mock-server/src/cli.ts` hand-tokenized 17 value-taking `--flag value` options plus boolean flags (~45–60 lines of loop and value-extraction helpers) where the `node:util` `parseArgs` builtin is already the repo idiom (`cli-demo`, `acp-demo`, `verify-runtime-closure.ts`, `packages/sdk/scripts`).
- `apps/web/tests/smoke-real.e2e.ts` and `apps/web/tests/scaffold.ts` carried two verbatim copies of a regex `.env` parser (~20 lines) where the `process.loadEnvFile` builtin has exactly the required no-override semantics — and the vitest e2e/snapshot/web configs already load root `.env` with it before these files run, making the copies dead.
- The snapshot harness hand-rolled three poll-until-deadline loops (`waitForPersistedTurnStart`/`waitForPersistedTurnEnd`/`waitForWorkspaceFile` in `packages/support/acp-snapshot/src/harness.ts`, ~55 lines) plus `waitForFile` in `crash-recovery.e2e.ts`, where `vi.waitFor`/`expect.poll` cover the shape — vitest is already a runtime dependency of `dsh-acp-snapshot`, so this adds nothing.
## Decision
- `execa` is a root devDependency and a runtime dependency of `@deepseek-ai/dsh-loader-smoke` (the one `src/` consumer). The listed spawn-collect-timeout sites run through `await execa(cmd, args, { cwd, env, timeout, killSignal: 'SIGKILL', reject: false })`, whose result reports `{ stdout, stderr, exitCode, signal, timedOut, failed }` as independent fields — matching the repo's own defensive-patterns rule to report orthogonal subprocess outcomes independently. `runLoaderSmoke` passes `input: ''` for its stdin-close contract, and sites whose assertions pin exact stream bytes pass `stripFinalNewline: false`.
- The genuinely custom parts stay custom on top of an execa-owned subprocess: cli-demo's interrupt-on-marker mid-stream logic, jsonrpc's line-predicate protocol driving, and crash-recovery's SIGKILL-at-failpoint choreography. `smoke-real.e2e.ts` keeps raw `spawn` for its three long-lived interactive servers — ready-line watching across both streams plus a staged SIGTERM→await→SIGKILL teardown are the whole site, so execa would delete nothing there; its share of this note is the dead `.env` parser.
- `llm-mock-server`'s CLI tokenizes via `parseArgs` (strict, no positionals); numeric coercion, bounds, and cross-option constraints stay manual, and the pinned error-message tests carry `parseArgs`'s own tokenizer texts.
- Both `loadRootEnv` copies are deleted outright: the owning vitest configs (`vitest.web.config.ts` unconditionally, `vitest.snapshot.config.ts` in record mode) load the repo-root `.env` before those files run.
- The four poll loops ride `vi.waitFor` with explicit `{ interval, timeout }` and descriptive errors thrown from the callback; `waitForPersistedTurnStart` captures its malformed-record validation error out of the retry loop so it fails the run immediately instead of being retried until the deadline.
## Alternatives considered
- **`tinyexec` instead of execa.** Already in `node_modules` transitively via vitest, smaller API — but no kill-escalation, no rich error output embedding, and being transitive is not a contract; if the lighter package is preferred the swap shape is identical.
- **A repo-local shared spawn helper (no new dep).** Viable and cheaper on supply chain, but it keeps the maintenance of deadline/kill/settlement logic in-repo when a battle-tested package owns exactly this; contrary to the [dependency policy](../process/2026-07-26-dependencies-over-hand-rolling.md), it also has to re-earn cross-platform timeout, termination, and result-normalization behavior that execa already carries.
- **`get-port`, `wait-on`, `tempy`, `tree-kill`.** Rejected individually: the repo's single port probe is break-even, the file waits are dominated by `vi.waitFor`, temp-dir handling already uses `mkdtemp` + `rm {recursive}` builtins everywhere, and acp-snapshot's `close()` is drain-ordering logic, not tree traversal.
## Consequences
- The hand-rolled collect/timeout blocks are gone, including the two `/* v8 ignore */` un-inducible OS-error branches in `loader-smoke`: spawn and stream failures settle through execa's result fields, so the `src/` file carries no coverage exemptions and the per-file gate covers every remaining branch.
- Captured output is bounded by execa's default 100 MB `maxBuffer` (overflow terminates the subprocess) where it was previously unbounded; the `loader-smoke` README's limitation entry reflects this.
- Direct-child timeout termination and exit/signal result normalization are owned by execa across platforms instead of per-site hand-rolls; process-tree termination remains outside these helpers, as the `loader-smoke` README states. Each rewritten suite was re-run on POSIX in this change, and the Windows CI lanes own the other platform.
- execa is a new root devDependency (previously absent from the lockfile); it is one of the most-depended-on packages on npm and actively maintained, and the exe/runtime closure is unaffected (tests only).
- The mock-server CLI's tokenizer-level error texts are no longer this repo's to choose: unknown options, missing values, and stray positionals report `parseArgs`'s wording, pinned as such in `tests/cli.spec.ts`.

这些位置是:`runLoaderSmoke` 的内层 spawn 代码块(`packages/support/loader-smoke/src/index.ts`)、`apps/cli/tests/built-bin.e2e.ts` 与 `packages/examples/cli-demo/tests/built-bin.e2e.ts` 中的 `runBuiltBin`、`packages/examples/acp-demo/tests/built-bin.e2e.ts` 中的 `runBinExpectingExit`、`lsp-local` 与 `code-runtime-worker` 中基于构建产物的 e2e 辅助函数、`examples/tui-agent/tests/pty-harness.ts` 的外层收集器、`examples/jsonrpc-agent/tests/keyless-smoke.e2e.ts`,以及部分涉及的 `apps/web/tests/smoke-real.e2e.ts` 和 `session-checkpoint-policy/tests/crash-recovery.e2e.ts`。
- `apps/web/tests/smoke-real.e2e.ts` 与 `apps/web/tests/scaffold.ts` 曾携带两份逐字相同的正则 `.env` 解析器拷贝(约 20 行),而内置的 `process.loadEnvFile` 恰好具备所需的「不覆盖已有值」语义;并且 vitest 的 e2e/snapshot/web 配置在这些文件运行之前就已用它加载了根 `.env`,这两份拷贝实为死代码。
- **`get-port`、`wait-on`、`tempy`、`tree-kill`。
